I wonder if this trailer will run in 70mm IMAX in front of Dark Shadows.

Un Fucking Real.

Epic in every sense of the word.

I almost don't want to see it because of how dire the situation is. This looks like it will be one hell of an emotional roller coaster.

Who's the big bastard @1:17?

That's not Bane, and I just noticed that they're in the sewers a lot.
Spoiler:
Croc?
Or just an uber sized League of Shadows henchman?

What is w/ you and thinking there are more character than there needs to be? It doesn't look like Bane. Looks like a big fucker in Bane's group.

What, you think there won't be more surprises? C'mon now. I never said it looked like Bane - I said it wasn't Bane.

It's probably Solomon Grundy.

yes, I know you said it. I'm saying that I see what you see. It's not Bane. I thought it was at the very beginning but the face/head doesn't look like Hardy's.

Can't say TDK really had any surprises for characters popping up that we didn't know were in there. BB had it's own reason but this one I don't think we'd get that.

So from this trailer I'm assuming...

Spoiler:
The first part takes place a few years after TDK, Bane breaks Batman's back, and then the rest takes place the 8 years in the future that Nolan talks about.

Since this IS it, I'm assuming.

Hey, be glad I'm not one of these OCD cats that keep saying that this will suck like Spiderman 3 and X-Men 3 did. ;)

I'd say..takes place 8 years after TDK already. Bane takes out Batman and takes Gotham, evident when he pretty takes the down the bridges and the tumblers going about Gotham. Sends Bats to wherever the fuck he sends him along after he kicks his ass..then Bats gets the strength to get back Gotham.

Well...

Spoiler:
He looks a lot older in that one scene than in the rest of the footage... Can we also assume that giant well is the Lazarus Pit? I'm guessing that's how he gets cured and possibly even looks younger after climbing out. So maybe the whole thing does take place 8 years in the future, but the pit turns his aging back about 10.

I can't help but notice the trailers have been very non-traditional, at least compared to the previous installments. The easy way would be to simply play the full Zimmer crescendo with the big, money shots and call it good, but for whatever reason they're not approaching this one that way. Hopefully the movie's great... but I'm not quite sure what the marketing dept is aiming for, the trailer's are a bit too disjointed imo.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I'm excited.

I know Bane's voice was an issue for some people, but now it sounds like it doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie, like it's isolated and then just inserted. Maybe it's for the best though because eithe that, or no ones going to understand his dialogue.

Still, this movie looks pretty damn good. Oh yeah, looks like Hathaway will be a GREAT Catwoman. I didn't like her costume, and thought she was too nice to play the flawed and serious Selina Kyle but seeing more scenes with her, and in action has me convinced.

Thanks Solid Snake for the trailer.

"I'm Gothams ?"

Probably because the response would be "Neither do you now!"

I don't think we're getting anything mystical. I'm guessing...Bane kidnaps him. He's missing for a while, he gets better, escapes, then begins his taking back of Gotham. No mysticism. Just a small passing of time.

It would be cool if where he's jailed w/ all those guys is called the Lazarus Pit. In that he heals himself back up to shape in there to come out mentally and physically bettered.
