erm, it's from The Dark Knight Rises and relates to some kind of terrorist plot that kickstarts the movie, as the rumour goes. We'll all find out in 8 days, I've already reserved my IMAX M:I:Ghost Protocol ticket at the Airbus in VA.

I believe
Spoiler:
Leonid Pavel is the guy Bane killed in the football stadium. He's the inventor of bane's earthquake machine.

I agree, I don't mind paying a premium watching on a 15/70 IMAX screen, it's a great movie experience. I hope it doesn't go away in my area.

Nice. Don't mind driving to San Francisco and see it at the Metreon.

unfortunantely as both Matthew and I (and people in the industry - and DVDTalkers for that matter) know IMAX 15/70 is being phased out, as the new era of IMAX-Digital (with Kodak technology) will convert all museum and specialty screens (if they want it or not)

The question is the timetable. Kodak claims that their technology can fill screens of that size, but whether or not it holds up in the real world in the timeframe they expect is another story.

and that's the one area where I have the most concern with, the screens better not change (i.e, down sized), because IMAX filmmakers can and will continue to shoot in 15/70 even though with 'Born to Be Wild' new IMAX digital cameras were made (that are lighter, quieter and can shoot up to 30 minutes in one take) - but can still capture images on the 4:3 negative space to take up the traditional wall dimensions of the typical IMAX (15/70) venues' screens. If the screens have to reduced to 1.78 it's basic commercial suicide for IMAX.

Having re-watched the teaser, the final shot is pretty much
Spoiler:
taken directly from Knightfall, with Bane closing in on a terribly weakened Batman.
I think the comic fans know what will come next.

So it looks like Hardy's going to have to re-dub/re-loop all of his lines.

Good thing the word has most likely already gotten to Nolan by now so the problem can be fixed in no time. What I hope to hear very soon is if Hardy's voice in the film is going to be just like it was in that stadium footage. I hope to fuck not.

Oh geez... so in addition to listening to Batman McGruff, we're also going to work on deciphering Bane's vocab?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Re-dubbing is not uncommon. I hope they do or we won't be able to understand anything anyone is saying.
