Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!

3 films in and they can't make the Batcave look like the Batcave?

Which version of the Batcave do you want? :p It's not like the iconic one with the giant penny, dinosaur, and display cases of costumes would make any sense.

At least we got a nod to the display cases in TDK. That was fine by me.

YEah...I'd prefer we not have the Penny and dinosaur in Nolan's films. It wouldn't make sense.

I was just joking. I think that Nolan is doing a great job of utilizing ideas from the comics but not just to give a nod to the comic roots, but because they're interesting ideas.

In the 80s I believe, Batman stopped operating out of the Batcave and lived in a penthouse suite and had various "caves" stationed all over Gotham, underground.

I kind of liked that Nolan used that in TDK but only because it made sense, progressively, considering the end of events in BB.

Very much looking forward to this film, but I've GOT to stop returning to this thread. Too many pictures.

Talking about separate areas of operation...I did find it very cool that Batman (in Batman: Arkham Asylum...the video game which is fucking cool and damn good) had a place under Arkham Asylum...that was badass. It also added to how Batman is very...uhm...OCD about his job.

He should at least have an assembled Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton in there.

Because if I was a billionaire like Bruce Wayne, I'd have one.

That was the 70s actually. Dick had left for college, and Bruce then decided to move out of the manor and into a penthouse suite at the Wayne Foundation. Then in the late 70s after the Strange Apparitions story arc in which Rupert Thorne attempted to sway the public against Batman, Bruce decided that being that close to the public was a bad idea and moved back to the manor.

He actually has several satellite Batcaves. In the No Man's Land story arc Gotham is hit by a major earthquake and the manor is engulfed. Bruce then decides to build several backup Batcaves.

Yes...and a rough cut should be assembled shortly thereafter. The entire rough cut will be posted in this thread before the end of November.

I'll have my official TDKR movie review up, right here, sometime in early December.

I think there's enough on-set footage for us to assemble a fan edit already.
