Not to mention killed Christ...

I think that the poster who said "jew Donner" was being deliberately ironic, facetious, saracastic or whatever the term might be. He was replying in the same tone as Gibson's attitudes (at that particular time only, of course).

I always thought LETHAL WEAPON III was the worst of the bunch (despite some classy opening credits). It was just limp and lifeless. (That what she said! Ba-da-boom!)

LETHAL WEAPON IV was fun and funny, thanks largely to Chris Rock. I also thought Jet Li stole the show.

Bring on LW IV!

I would rather see another Leathal Weapon over another Rocky or Rambo movie.

I thought LW4 turned out wonderful. Bring on LW5, as long as Donner is on board.

If it comes out, I'll rent it. Otherwise, I'm not going to bother myself too much.

Mel Gibson is not going to reprise that role for the fifth time. He's moved on.

I doubt there's much validity to this...

I really wouldn't be surprised if Signs ended up being Mel's last major role as an actor (it's already been four yrs). He did start shooting that motorcycle gang one several yrs ago but it looks like that's been scrapped.

I was really looking forward to Mad Max 4: Fury Road. That shit needs to be made. Not LW5!

No, that wasn't it at all. I was drunk at the time, and didn't mean those hateful things I typed. I promise to meet with Giles to work on my anti-semitism, and to hopefully come to an understanding as to why I am such a bigot.

Lethal Weapon 5 a Possibility

From Coming Soon

Hollywood tracking board TrackingB.com reports that Shane Black, who wrote the first Lethal Weapon movie, has written a spec script for Lethal Weapon 5 without telling anyone. The site adds that he contacted franchise producer Joel Silver and said that he wanted to continue the story.

This time, homicidal Riggs (Mel Gibson) is about to retire, but pulls Murtaugh (Danny Glover) out of retirement to solve one final case, before they both officially head off into the sunset.

TrackingB.com says that Gibson and Glover are down to return, but no deals have been signed.

They will probably go PG-13 with this. I hope Danny Glover gets his teeth fixed. He is sounding like Ed Begley Jr. these days.

The only thing great about Lethal Weapon 4 was Jet Li. His portrayal of a ruthless, kung-fu muthafaka that kicked Riggs' & Murtaugh's ass was incredible, considering he stood almost a foot shorter than the both of them.
