This is pretty fundamental stuff though. It's like saying Kal-El really didn't come from Krypton, he was just a human baby who was abducted and hastily returned when the planet blew up.

I think they teased us and it never really existed.

I dunno. I think it's closer maybe to making Peter's parents superspy agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. investigating a supervillian that had captured a pre-Wolverine Logan, whom they rescue and they later get killed on one of their many missions while Peter is left in the care of Ben and May Parker and blah blah blah, which the comic did. It is ridiculously baroque but it doesn't really affect anything important.

I'm just willing to see how this plays out before I judge it.

Pretty awesome, can't wait. Those FX make the CGI stunt doubles from the first Spidey movie look downright prehistoric.

The downloadable teaser was so much better then what was actually on Heroes. I'm glad there's context for the whole ring and harry/peter fight.

that ring sure fell slowly. The sandman and Venom stuff looks sweet. Harry stuff looks lame, how did he get so strong, just a suit he wears? visual effects were so-so when they were going through the narrow alley. There faces just felt like they were plastered on the cgi characters. these movies never done much for me. I always felt these were far overrated flicks. So Not very excited except to see Venom.

He probably could have taken the serum that his dad took in the first movie.

Nothing mindblowing... but I do expect/hope this will be my fav of the series for the villains alone. If I were Sony I'd pull a Pirates and film 4 and 5 together as one 400mill production... that'd be cool.
