The ex girlfriend that got the watch was a bit weird too.

While I do not know for certain, I made an inference that she was most likely a failed actor the same as Timothy. They met at a restaurant with a very theatrical nature, and waiting tables is a common job for aspiring actors and one like this would give them they opportunity to "perform" on the job.

That screen test won't get her any film offers.

How about the Coroner? He was an odd fellow.

I think you have to be weird to do that job. I think that's why they are portrayed that way on tv shows and in movies.

Some of the Doc. had a kinda David Lynch-ian feel to it. The way Herzog kept the camera on the people for way too long...the shots of The Coroner, the man who gave Tim's friend his watch, and Tim's parent's standing in their garden all lasted way too long and gave much of the film a surreal feel to it.

sloppy editing or purposely done?

Anyone else knew that she would not destroy the tape after she said she would in the movie. That did not surprise me one bit when she said she had not done so.

you've never seen a Herzog film before have you? That's kind of his style. Rent his pseudo-doc 'Loch Ness' to see a truly weird film.

I know this film is meant to be taken seriously but I found so many moments where I could not control fits of laughter. One moment in particular, where Tim is in the tent cursing for rain, he yells:

"MELISSA IS EATING HER BABIES!!!!"

Lordy, did that floor me.

I'm watching this right now, and just had to post about how f'n insane Timothy was. The above quote, then the entire thing about touching the bear poop, it's all just gold. I also just found this Grizzly Man parody video on YouTube:
