Let's just say that old Biff had a stroke or something because no matter how you try to justify the scene it makes no goddamn sense.

Old Biff erases. Then why did it wait and happen after he arrived in 2015?

Old Biff continues to exist. Since Old Biff is the one who changed the events that lead to his mid-90's demise, shouldn't he (the one in the Delorean) still be there in 2015? I mean, if he goes and changes things and ends up dying in 1995 then he can't be there in 2015 to go back to change things so....

Old Biff had a stroke.

He was shot in the A timeline. He left originally in the regular timeline.

He created the A timeline and returned to that.. although we couldn't see it and Marty, Doc, and Jennifer couldn't see it.. as the ripple effect hadn't taken its course yet.. when they get back in the DeLorean to go back to 1985 they're already there.

It makes sense.. umm.. kind of. Basically he left in a different timeline and returned in a different one. That's how the Old Biff was able to go back originally. The course of events which became the A timeline hadn't occured yet.

I like this and the other theory.

However, in the first movie, Marty changed the past, and went into the future that he created immediately. So why didn't Biff go into the future he created immediately?

I guess time travel doesn't work as well unless you're the star of the movie.

And not to mention, when Marty gets back to 1985 at the end of BTTF, he hops out of the DeLorean and mentions Red's name (who is sleeping on the bench) when he says everything looks great..

The mayor in 1955 was Red Thomas.. so putting 2+2 together.. the joke being that the Mayor of 1955 turns into a bum down the road.
If you saw the commentary for the DVD, you'd have seen that Michael J. Fox ad-libbed the name Red. The bum in part one and part 2 are indeed the same person, but despite what IMDB says, Red the Bum is not Red Thomas the ex mayor. Just two guys with the same name. The picture on the van in 1955 isn't even Buck Flowers (the actor) picture.

Well that's obvious.. people change in 30 years, though.
