Ha, you obviously haven't seen the first Resident Evil. A movie about zombies, and most people get killed by some stupid lasers or a giant mutated dog. I think zombies were in the movie for like...10 minutes.

Resident Evil
I really liked RE1 a lot. But maybe the key to liking RE1 is going in there with low expectations as many posters (who liked the movie) have said. I remember RE1 getting terrible reviews from critics when it came out, and as such, wasn't too motivated to see it. When I finally saw it on DVD, I was pleasantly surprised by this highly entertaining "popcorn flick." The movie may not have been an exact rehash of the video game, but stayed close enough to its origins to provide a solid foundation for the stortytelling. Besides, how many shots of zombies clawing, biting, eating people can you take before it gets old (besides you zombie movie freaks out there).

As such, I'm really looking forward to RE2. Lets hope it does not suffer from the doomed fates of so many sequels.

I was hoping this one would get the boot but I also knew I couldn't be that lucky.

Maybe they learned something from the Dawn of the Dead but it's highly unlikely.

Oh, I think it's safe to say the goofy teaser for this flick has already kicked the film off on the wrong foot.

I did see the first which is why I was expecting the mistakes in that one to be corrected, doesn't look that way so far.

New pictures from the movie. Reminds me of the Japanese Resident Evil 2 commercial.

Hopefully more zombies in this film.

This movie will be what it is advertising itself as, that's all I can say. Should one honestly expect more?

I will probably see this in the theater then wait until they release it and part one as a two pack.

man, you people are harsh lol. I liked the first one *gasp* we'll see how the second one pans out though. One thing bothered me though, Why in the hell was nemesis firing a rocket launcher? Never seen him do that before in the games

I'll still see it, I suppose, just because I'm a big fan of the games... but sheesh, that looks nothing like the games. They have Nemesis and he looks right, but RE3 was probably the worst of the series (IMO) so that's not saying much in my book.

The end of the first movie gave promise that the look/feel/story would follow RE2, which many hail as the best of the series (I'd probably agree).

Oh well, at least we get to see her run down a skyscraper. That should be neat-o skeet-o.

Eweee. After watching a little, I was waiting for the "zombies...really really BAD zombies" line from the House of the Dead trailer.

Unfortunately, after seeing a good, exciting modern zombie movie like Dawn of the Dead, this trailer leaves me unimpressed.

Hope it's good, but not expecting anything.

Then you must be blind. He carries a rocket launcher in the game.

all i recall was him walking around and every now and again breaking through walls and beating the crap out of me. Of course there are so many games i could be thinking of a different one since 3 wasn't my fav resident evil game. Not only that but you could have replied with something aside from a personal attack, which was not necessary.

Am I the only one that can't get the links to work?

EDIT: Oops, nevermind. I enjoyed the first well enough, so here's hoping the second is satisfactory as well.

For being "super hi-res", that quality really sucked ass. Anyway, the movie looks like crap. What's up with Jill wearing her lame tube top clothing from RE3? Also, why does the Nemesis look even more pathetic than the creatures in Peter Jackson's Bad Taste?

The Nemesis was created to kill all S.T.A.R.S members. Which is why the only words that came out of his mouth was "STARRRSSS" I hope Jill Valentine defeats the Nemesis early in the movie so she can recover her stolen ID from him in one of his pockets. Otherwise it will be 30 minutes of her and Alice wondering around a police station looking for a lost ID card just so they can access one stinking computer near the entrance to unlock doors.
