I actually liked the teaser. We had some issues with the trailers before this one came up (the film melted) so we RE2 came up with thought "oh great, the projectionist screwed up the reels" but then we got it. It was original you've got to hand it to them there.

When the teaser started I thought that the theater had moved the commercials to between the trailers and the movie starting....until I heard Umbrella Corp.
Honestly, its quite a marvelous idea for a trailer, I loved it.
And the audience at my screening of Underworld when nuts when they pushed in on Mila.

I actually hated the first one though I am a die hard resident evil fan enough to have a stars money clip, two airsoft imported guns from the series and so much more. I look forward to this for the simple reason that it has game characters.

I LOVED this teaser...I thought the first flick was OK, but if this new movie is half as creative as the teaser, we should be in for a treat...glad that P-W.S.-A isn't directing this thing...Put that in the PRO column for this flick....looking forward to it.

I was fooled at first by the teaser, too. I liked it. From what I’ve heard about the people attached to this it could be good (or at least better than the first).

RE1 was one of the biggest let downs in the history of films. A world class turd. Any1 who actually is a fan of the RE games knows what I'm talking about. They had sure as hell better fix what they fawked up in the 1st RE movie in the second installment. I definitely wont be paying to go see it until it gets the "RE game fan seal of approval" in a few reviews...

I guess for me, I recognize that the games are a little lacking in substance, story, and acting. That doesn't mean they aren't fun or whatever. But if they had just built all of that crappiness into the movie, it would've been a sucky ass movie (IMO). I suppose some people think it should've been set in a big mansion the whole movie with finding keys and opening doors and slow creepy parts building tension, but I just think that would've been kinda boring, and I already played through the games a bunch of times - why would I wanna go through it again? See, they don't need to just recreate the entire game scene for scene in a movie form - cuz there's already a game out that does that.
I'm glad they did it the way they did. I'm glad they didn't go with George Romero (who spent half his talent on his first movie and the other half was spread out between 1978 and 1988). I'm glad they went with a director who had a few good films under his belt and experience in bringing a video game to life. Nope... as far as I'm concerned, this couldn't have turned out more perfect.
