Seed of Chucky

I have seen all three Child's Play, but haven't gotten around to Bride, but this teaser had everyone in Kill Bill roaring. Although it is still a teaser.

I don't prefer Chucky, I'm more of an Open Water, Haute Tension kinda horror fan.

I actually enjoyed Bride of Chucky the best of the series, and I'd be interested in seeing another if it goes along the same lines. Probably not in theaters, but I'd certainly rent it.

Is this trailer online anywhere?

And btw, I do in fact own the Ed Wood SE, as do half the people on DVDTalk.

I audibly groaned in the theater when I saw this since I had no idea it was coming. I really wish this franchise would have stayed dead (although I haven't seen Bride yet).

I've seen "Bride of" and that's why I wish the series would stay dead.

I guess we can extend that back to part 3.

One and two I actually quite like.

And if I'm not wrong, Bride of Chucky and Freddy vs. Jason had the same director, which would probably be why it had the same type of humor.

But I actually loved Freddy vs. Jason.
Hmmm....oh well.

Ronny Yu's not attached to this sequel, so we'll see what comes forth this Halloween.

Don Mancini, the series' creator and writer of the past four films, is directing it. Yu is a shitty director and I've hated every film he's done (Child's Play 2 and 3 were superior to Bride of Chucky and I thought Freddy vs. Jason was a disgrace to both franchises). He's getting close to the ranks of Mr. Paul Anderson in terms of crap he's churned out.

Yes, Yu is style over substance, but damnit if he doesn't have style, baby! He made both movies really entertaining and just cool to watch. Hes no freakin' Peter Jackson, but who gives a rats ass! We all need a good fun movie were we can get some friends over and just bullshit for two hours. good times!

I thought Bride was excellent and probably the best Chucky flick yet...and I can't wait to see SEED of Chucky... this teaser had everyone cheering when I saw Punisher and KIll Bill v2... I hope Mancini knows what he's doing... gotta love the tagline... DELIVER US SOME EVIL.

Only a few directors suceed at style over substance (Argento) because they know how to use it (by putting everything else in front of the plot, especially mood and atmosphere... important when doing a horror film of any kind). Wu tries to be style over substance, but he can't suceed, similar to Mr. Anderson.

Bride of Chuck was easily my favorite of this series and I'm glad to see this finally come to fruition. I was SO not expecting that and freaked out when the trailer went by. I was like "HELL YEAH!!" really loud.. I need to go get that Bride of Chuck DVD finally.

Funny trailer, but I saw it on "Coming Attractions" so I already knew what it was for and the surprise was ruined.

Looks like Billy "Pippin" Boyd is in this as the voice of the "Seed", teaming up with his LOTR co-star Brad Dourif (voice of Chucky).

About damn time! I'm a big fan of all the movies and have been waiting for this since they first talked about it on the Bride of Chucky commentary.
