In short, they are selling it to a small amount of people, but people who will bring them profit in the long run.

They've also gone back to press on six of the seven graphic novels in the old, larger (standard-sized format): Sin City, A Dame to Kill For, That Yellow Bastard, Family Values, BBB, Hell and Back. These should be available now. (All of the Sin City graphic novels have been out of print for quite a while now; with the movie on its way it would appear that Dark Horse Comics has gotten their asses in gear.)

Any idea where I can order the reprints of the standard sized ones? I was looking at amazon, but they only have used ones of some of them.

I am going to have to see this movie after I watched the trailer. I didn't know Alexis Bledel was in this movie. It will be fun seeing the actress who plays Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls in this flick.

Sin City Trailer in Better-Quality QuickTime!
http://www.superherohype.com/news/si...ws.php?id=2378
The Sin City trailer looks pretty good.
For those of you who did not like Once Upon A Time In Mexico, did you give the film a second chance? I was in a similar position, I love Desperado, I loved the OUATIM trailer, but felt a little disappointed when I first saw the movie. However, upon subsequent viewings, I love it now. I think it gets better each time.

Trailer looks good. Now, I do have my concerns about Rodriguez...the last movie of his that I thought was any good was...err...From Dusk Til Dawn. But, one thing, he didn't write this one. Second thing, he's not trying to win fastest movie ever made awards on this one either. Once Upon Time In mExico was junk, and I bet the bragging he does about shooting the thing in 4 weeks then editing it a year later are right at the heart of the problem.
But now he's taking his time, and he's got a lot of good stuff to back him up. Here's hoping it's as good as it could be. And here's hoping the comic translates into a good movie.

You can check out an extended version (completely different scenes) over at nightly.net
http://www.nightly.net/ubb/ultimateb...14.html#000033
Apparently it was previewed at a comic con. It's about 5-6 minutes long.
It's a little hokey (and I'm guessing may only appeal to the fans of the series such as myself
), but still something nice to check out.

The trailer looks great.
Did Tarantino end up directing a segment of the film as planned?

Saw it in a theater before Aviator this past weekend. While it was cool seeing it on the big screen, you could tell that the audience with whom I saw it (mostly middle aged adults) was not the intended one. It mostly got a bunch of head scratching and WTF looks.
Oh well, like this was made for them anyway!

I'll be shocked if this movie makes more than $100 million dollars at the box office. The mainstream audience will have no idea what this movie will be about and even the trailer doesn't help much.

It may not make 100 million, but it will be in the spotlight. here we are with entertainment news shows pimping it out based on the actors getting hype for it. That has to be worth something

I agree this thing won't make 100 million. But, I doubt it cost 100 million so I don't think that's an issue. If it's good, I imagine it'll perform like Kill Bill (maybe a lil better). If it's bad, probably perform more like Sky Captain.
Either way, I imagine this'll be quite the cult classic. Like Kill Bill or Hellboy, I think this'll be one of those movies where the core audience just loves it. Of course, the movie could just suck but based upon what I'm seeing, I think many of us are going to be very happy.
