The film was delayed for a full year until Feb 07 and they're giving us the trailer now?

Wow. I was never a huge Ghost Rider fan but that kinda looks cool.

Wait...hang on....if you listen carefully... you can already hear dvdtalkers BITCHING and MOANING about how they hated the trailer and how the movie will suck all kinds of ass.

Hmmm, kinda cool, in a "Blade" way more than a "Spider-Man" way... I've never particularly liked GR as a character in comics myself, but might work well on screen. Cage looks like a good choice; the flaming skull f/x did look a little fake in a few shots, but still pretty cool. I'm interested.

I, for one, am looking forward to this. I love it where
Spoiler:
he rides his bike up the side of the building
. Do you need spoiler tags for trailers? I figured better to be safe....

The trailer doesn't get me excited like the Superman & X3 trailers.

I thought it was cool until he started doing stuff like this. So it goes.

Same here, it seemed less obvious about trying to give us a story and acted more of a teaser to show us the cool shit.

I was at the panel for Ghost Rider at last summer's Comic-Con. They'll probably have ANOTHER panel THIS summer thanks to the delay. Too funny.

I thought the trailer looked alright. Seems to have potential.

The trailer is motivating and inspiring...well done trailer.

You prefer the Spiderman with black goggles on?

What are you talking about? He said the trailer was "hot," and the movie is about a guy who sets himself on fire. Get it? Hot? Guy on fire??

I thought it looked decent, has the potential to be really good or really bomb... I'll wait for the theatrical trailer I think.

Looks pretty good. I've always liked Ghost Rider. Personally, I hope there is more Ghost Rider than there is Cage.

Comic fan, but have never read GR...I wasnt sure about this one, but Sam Elliot definitely was a plus, and it looked pretty fun to me.

You know, I laughed when they cast Cage as Ghost Rider- not in a good way either- but it seems that he did an excellent job here, capturing the tortured soul of the character perfectly. Too bad the special effects look so mediocre.

Question: Since when does Johnny Blaze wear a cowboy hat? WTF?

I'm stoked though. If the movie concentrates more on character development as implied in the trailer, I'm sure this will be a great flick.

I'm looking forward to this one after seeing that. Add me to the list who liked the international teaser better.

Am I the only one who wanted to cry after seeing this? Granted, I'll still see it, but it looks so lame, and yes, I've read Ghost rider, both series as Johnny Blaze and Dan Ketch. It just looks lame. Hope the CGI is better too (and I don't mean to start a "I hate CGI" bash, but it didn't look good, and I'm forgiving of some CGI).

I think its imperitive to be forgiving of CGI in a movie where the main character is a flaming skeleton who ride on a flaming motorcycle...and even do it up the side of a building.

Sometimes, it can't be photo-realistic.

I just hope the finished CGI doesn't look as cartoonish as that did. While I thought the motorcycle was bad ass, the fire didn't look nearly as realistic as it should, and the flaming skull head looked more like something out of a Doom style video game than anything else.
Feb. 16th is a long way off though, so I am certain they will make some tweaks in the FX department. The acting looks pretty good , so at least that aspect won't suck. Sam Elliot is a good choice no matter how you roll it.

EDIT: The "Let's ride," bit at the end of the teaser where he flames up looked like a lame attempt to look cool.
