Writing as someone who loves obscure black and white foreign films, I loved Ocean's 11. I love nearly everything Soderbergh does. The man is a magician with a camera. Films don't have to be about serious, somber subjects to be artful.

I heard that with this version he was going to do it with the camera upside down and have the cast act it out backwards... (that should help out Matt Damon's performance this time around).

Catherine Zeta-Jones joins cast of Ocean's 12

Just saw it on CNN's little showbiz news scroll. It will be interesting to see how she intermingles with Julia Roberts and George Clooney.

Sounds good to me. However, when Julia is onscreen at the same time with Cathy Z Julia looks like a pig

Cool, Clooney and Zeta Jones back in action. Great cast, should be a great movie. If it's as fun as the first one, I'm there.

I thought so, but many movie goers didn't catch them. Guess the Coen Bros. style isn't for everyone.

However, I am sure if Soderbergh approaches this in the same manner as he did the first, I think it will be good.

Cool. I just bought IC yesterday. Blind buy. Good to see they have some great chemistry. Can't wait to watch it.

As for Oceans 12. A huge step up in the looks dept over Julia.

She's an ex-flame of Pitt's character.

I was hoping they would go with Monica Bellucci for the role... Damn.

Well if she isn't included in the 12 there is still hope for Bellucci. Crossing fingers.

Zeta & Bellucci in the same movie! That would be perfect. 2 pieces of eye candy for the guys vs. a handful for the ladies (Pitt, Clooney, Damon, Garcia). Who do we need to write to make this happen?

I believe the 12th person of the title is French actor Vincent Cassel - Bellucci's real life husband. That’s why I was hoping she would join the film. I think the new role called for a "dark, mysterious European beauty."

Zeta-Jones is the bee's knees, but she doesn't pop into my mind right away when I think of that description.

This is cool news. I can't wait to see this movie. When is it suppose to be released? Fall 2004 or in 2005?

It's supposed to be released in December 2004, that way it's three years after the original.
