Maybe they could call it: "The Billy and Rusty Show".

Sweet. If the whole cast returns it should be great, but I'll probably see it either way

Speaking of brothers, Donnie Wahlberg would make a great 12th man

And while we're talking about brothers, how about Sam Jackson?

it was an amazing movie (imo) and like lbpound i do dread sequels for movies i enjoyed (hence my ramblings against indy 4 and i can't believe the bring it on again trailer on the blue crush dvd) so i am against this, but pray that if the movie does pan out, that it will be done with the same characters/persona as the first one, and i hope to god that the movie does good possibly warrant a 13 (dammit should have kept the mouth shut)

My thoughts exatcly, are Soderbergh and Clooney like an offcial team, it's getting annoying.

Actually yes, they run a production company together.

Why is it annoying when Clooney and Soderbergh work together?

I haven't seen Solaris, but Ocean's Eleven and Out of Sight were both great fun!

They wouldn't be the first actor and director to work together multiple times. Hell, some directors nearly have their regular troop they pick from when filming and it's been that way for some time.

Yeah, but acting-directing teams are NEVER successful! Think about it - Alfred Hitchcock and James Stewart, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, David Lean and Alec Guiness. Can you think of one single good movie resulting from those pairs?

Well, Soderbergh and Clooney came in together and saved the production of Haynes' Far From Heaven when it ran over budget. For that, they deserve tremedous praise. Moreover, Solaris was a brave endeavor (for obvious reasons) and, I think, much more successful (artistically that is) than not.

In light of the above, I will forgive Soderbergh for Full Frontal and presume the next Oceans film is simply a penance of sorts for the commercial failure of Solaris.

Yep -- never a good film from Kurosawa and Mifune, Bergman and von Sydow, Lynch and MacLachlen, or Fellini and Mastroianni, either.

Ocean's Twelve - for real?

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0349903

I didn't think this was truly coming about until I saw the entry at imdb.com. Soderbergh is wasting his talents!

Why?? Because you don't agree with what he is making?? So he is not allowed to make fun movies?? Solaris WAS a waste of his talents. Oceans 11 was a great fun movie and I am really looking forward to this!!

Solaris WAS a waste of his talents.
I can understand someone not liking the film, but "a waste of his talents?" How so? Someone who made such eclectic fare as "Sex, Lies, and Videotape", "Kafka", "Out of Sight", "Schizopolis", "The Limey", and "King of the Hill" would be more likely to make something as subtle and contemplative as Solaris, rather than extremely fun star-studded projects like Ocean's 11.

Soderbergh is reading this thread and thinking "Oh yeah, I should make sure to check with lesterlong next time I choose a project."

I never have understood why people bash Oceans 11. It was a fun movie -- nothing wrong with that, right? A lot of great actors get together, have a good time, look cool, and keep you entertained for two hours. Why is that so bad?

Not saying Ocean's 11 wasn't a good movie, I just feel Soderbergh could be doing something a lot better. He has always seemed to experiment with new techniques and stories with his films this just seems like a step back.
