Right now, that will most likely be why I stay away. I don't like sequels that tarnish the original. Some argue the Matrix movies did such a thing (not me though ).

What does come to mind is Jaws 2 and a lot of the straight to video sequels to Disney movies.

I don't think any sequels ever tarnish the originals. I think of every movie as its own entity.

Well, in all honesty, the route they seem to be taking is closer to the fates of the characters in the original Ocean's Eleven. Expcept they blew it up to two movies.

This is what happens when you buys a spec script that was never meant to have anything to do with the Ocean's 11 universe and try to rewrite it so that it can be a sequel.

Bluees Brothers 2000 did not exist.

At least, that's what I tell myself.

I try that as well. I also do not acknowledge any of the direct to video sequels to good Disney animated movies. I might watch them, but I won't acknowledge them.

New Ocean's Twelve Trailer

The new Ocean's Twelve trailer can be seen on comingsoon.net

I can't wait to see this movie but from the trailer, it doesn't look that good compared to Ocean's Eleven.

Good trailer. I really didn't care for the first one for some reason, even though like everyone I know loves it, but this one looks like it might be better.

Trailer looks okay, but I can't get the bad buzz of this thread out of my mind.

It explains who Tess is supposed to pretend to be in the scene she's in the car with Matt Damon, and it isn't too funny.
It might look flashy, but I think I'll remain pessimistic.

Do you mean it tells who Tess is supposed to play in the movie? Because the trailer does not give that away. In fact I don't think anyone would know unless they read that review posted on here. The trailer is well done, like a trailer from the 50's.

Same here!

When they flashed his name in the preview, I actually expected him to say his name.

Loved the first one!!

Can't wait for this one, I am sure it won't be as good as the first but hey not many sequels are. Still will be at the theater for this one though (as well as Blade 3)!
