preliminary site scripts are complete. some revising is needed though. look for a post late sunday night with a temp IP for the site. it won't be 100% but it will be a start
and if you'd really like to help out via paypal or whatever, drop me a line and I'll tell you where to send it (I'd rather not post it)
thanks everyone =)

I am looking forward to seeing the new site, and ready to help with some new covers.

well I'm now about 90% done with the scripts, and just need to do a little work here and there. I also need to generate small data files for each cover for the main script to load (doesn't take long, but at last count I had 250 unique pages).
I'm also downsizing all the preview images to make the pages load faster, renaming files so that the name better identifies the cover type, and zipping up all hi-res images to make them easier to download (among a ton of other little things).
if you guys have any suggestions as to what you'd like to see on the site, with regards to layout or what info is shown, or anything at all, just drop me a line here
the DNS change for the site will take a few days to go through, and I hope to have everything ready by then. best case is end of this week, but I might need the weekend too.

Where the heck is the webmaster of the Reality Crash site? Anybody know? His site is still up, but it hasn't been updated since last August. I haven't gotten a response from him since then. I hope he's alright.

For those who are interested, I now have “new and improved” Excalibur covers available for download. The front is pretty much unchanged, but I have reworked the back and it is much “cleaner” than my previous version. Most of the text I have entered by hand, instead of using scanned text from the original back cover. Additionally, I have done an alternate cover with a black back.

The cover with the white back can be downloaded here (300dpi, 3.7 MB):
http://www.dvdcoverart.net/getFile.p...cstm_hires.zip

I also have recently finished a new Superman cover. To give credit where credit is due, this cover was conceived from Ckolchak's Superman Cover (at http://www.realitycrash.com/dvdcovers.htm). I have reworked it, however, to compliment the Supergirl cover from the Limited Edition DVD Anchor Bay release.

The Superman cover (300dpi, 2.4 MB) can be downloaded here:
http://www.dvdcoverart.net/getFile.p...cstm_hires.zip
Enjoy!

The links don't work; you really shouldn't have spaces in file names as a rule, but they can be fixed like this:
http://users.exp.net/hinson/Excalibur%20DVD1.JPG
Also, on Excalibur the word "Magnificent" is misspelled.

dvd covers
I have about 40 dvd covers and inserts from snappers that I have scanned at 300 dpi for conversion to cases. If anyone wants them on their website just give me an email!
Also I am looking for a custom double slim case cover for The Sixth Sense (Vista Series)...that metallic on the Vista Series cardboard is a pain to scan.

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Would anyone by chance have the cover art for Anchor Bay's "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie"? I'm trying to replace the tin with a regular cover so I can keep the DVD along with the rest and put away the tin for safe keeping.
In trade, I could scan any of the covers from my collection. See sig below. Thanks!

What Happened to DVDcoverart.com?
DVDcoverart.com seems to be the only site to have the keepcase-formatted art for Buffy Season 1 (not the three-case R4 set, natch, but one for a Suspiria-sized triple keepcase.) but now it's "parked." What gives? That site certainly got a lot of lip service on this thread, and from what I saw in archive.org's stored version, it was worth it. Any shot of the site coming back? And while I'm at it, here's my list of proper keepcase cover requests:
- triple-keepcase sized art for Buffy R1 Season 1 (was it red? I forget)
- Buckaroo Banzai featuring the original poster art... or ANYTHING else!!!
- Real Genius, also featuring original art. I saw the new version at DVDfile.com... appalling.
Thanks!

please note that my dvdcoverart email is not working at the moment, so please use my yahoo one (in my profile) instead

Could someone please do scans of the following U.S. Covers:
The Anniversary Party
The Man Who Wasn't There
Fatal Attraction Collector's Edition
I live in Canada and these all came with English/French packaging which I HATE (The Anniversary Party uses a different cover entirely).
I luckily have already found Spy Game and Twin Peaks FWWM.
Thanks
Greg
