I've got the custom Murder By Death cover that someone on these forums made last year. E-mail me at [email protected] if you want it. I suppose it should be submitted to the dvdcovers.net site, but I'm not the artist.

Re: Jerry Maguire request
Commander Dan,
As soon as Matt at dvdcoverart.net is able to post it (he got over 100 submissions while on vacation), you'll find a Jerry Maguire SE cover available. One of his regular contributors, James Carpenter, sent him one the other day, and it should be a good one.
For those who are interested, I also sent Matt a snapper-scan cover and insert for Bogart and Bacall's The Big Sleep last night. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. Look for it to show up soon on dvdcoverart.net.

A few quick questions:
When it comes to printing covers I need to have the printer propeties set like this - paper size; legal (8.5 x 14 in.), print quality; best (or normal?), orientation; landscape. Is that all right?
Are the dimensions for printing DVD covers given on the CoverPro FAQ page correct
(Change the H value to 27.4, V to 18.4, X to 0.1, Y to 0.1.
Next, check the Rotate 90 checkbox.)? How do I set up CoverPro to print inserts? Is cover pro good?
And, finally, does anybody have (or know where I can Find) a scan for Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker - The Original, Uncut Version?
Sorry for all the questions but I just discovered all of this!

Has anyone tried these case inserts from Neato?
Neato DVD Case Inserts
I was thinking about picking some up to try and was wondering if the paper quality was any good.

I got a pack of Great White Imaging & Photo Matte finish paper - 100 sheets for around $12 - at Office Max and it has worked great. It's 37 lbs/138 g/m and doesn't stick or smear or anything of the like....I highly recommend it as an affordable alternative to the much more expensive photo paper.

JoeyOhhhh - nope
bgills - I use that stuff for any covers that have a lot of black, as the matte paper shows blacks a lot better than the glossy stuff. At $.10 a sheet it is definitely a good buy as well.

Ugh! Not Innerspace, too!
For a while, i thought the lousy cover conspiracy was limited to Val Kilmer movies (Real Genius, Top Secret, Willow), but now I see on thedigitalbits.com,
http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articl...omingart4.html
one of my personal favorites, Innerspace, muddied up with a smorgasbord of images from the movie. I say, what's wrong with the original teaser poster (the one with the pod on somebody's fingertip) on this one, or, failing that, the commonly used "dancing pod in Quaid's hand" art? Why'd they bother coming up with all this?
Ugh, indeed.
back on my meds,
CS
It's not that August is going to be an expensive month, but that August 6, in particular, is going to be an expensive day.

I had some problems (mostly user error), but finally got everything right. They look great, I got them to *not* print off the edge of the page, I tweaked the "gold" colors in Photoshop so they actually printed out the correct color. I fought with the paper cutter to trim off those very slim edges and then went to slide them into their cases... and... disaster.
There is a lot of black on the Star Wars covers and the blacks (which according to my inkjet levels, seems to have ALL come out of my color cartridge) starts to ROLL UP off the paper as I slide the covers in!
Now I've got 3 really nice looking covers that I can't even use and they cost me about $30 in ink and paper. Unbelievable...

Reference for printing with HP Photosmart
For those of you out there using HP Photosmart 1215. It prints roughly 20 covers w/ inserts. Out of those, 12 have a majority of black in them.
Reason I'm giving you this is when it says low black ink, there is actually alot more than the printer lets on (and it saves you $50 if you have to replace both ink and color).
Hopefully this is helpful to some of you guys.
