My Simpsons covers are up at www.dvdcoverart.com

I have fixed the 'Special Features' box, so it doesn't look so crowded. My previews haven't been updated to reflect the change, you will have to go to www.dvdcoverart.com to see them.

Londo, thanks for the suggestions. I know what you mean about the 'Season' part, but that's the way the original box is, and I could not figure out how to add "Season 1, Disc 1" to the spine without totally killing the 'cartoonie' feel of it.

I've completed my Friday the 13th parts V & VI covers.
There are two part 5 covers to choose from.

High Quality versions are temporarily available from my FTP site:

I'm desperately looking for covers of:

Magnolia and Dark City .

I've checked the links and through this thread, but to no avail. I would greatly appreciate any help!

Londo, I had tried that, but on the test-print it was too small (IMO).

I also tried,

Season
....1
..Disc
....1

, it just didn't look right.

Any other ideas on how to do it? I really am open to these suggestions, but I would like to be able to look at the covers and instantly know which disc I am looking at. I do like the 'Simpsons' on the spine the way you have it, though.

Sorry, I started working on the Simpsons covers and completely forgot to finish putting my site back together. You can get it from these links for now.

hopefully, my Godfather set is in today's mail. however, looking at the photos of the packaging, it looks a bit flimsy.

is anyone working on replacement covers for this set? i'm thinking one case cover for the first movie, a second for a double "Gladiator"-type case for part II, and another "Gladiator"-type case for part III and the disc-o-extras. so three covers total.

anyone out there working on a solution along these lines??

That's odd, his page worked just a couple of days ago. Hopefully it will come back up soon.

I'm not sure if these are the ones you are looking for, I know there is another style of covers out there.

Help with Mad Mad Mad Mad World

I'm going to make up a folding insert to put in It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, with mug shots of all the comedians and stars... but I need help identifying the following people:

Paul Birch ......... Policeman
Alan Carney ........ Police Sergeant
Chick Chandler ..... Policeman outside garage
Stanley Clements ... Detective in squad room
Roy Engel .......... Patrolman
Stan Freberg ....... Deputy Sheriff (guy with Andy Devine in Sheriff's office?)
Nicholas Georgiade . Detective (guy with Norman Fell at Smiler's accident?)
Harry Lauter ....... Police Dispatcher
Roy Roberts ........ Policeman outside garage (which one is which?)
Nick Stewart ....... Truck Driver (black man in old truck they run off the road near the beginning?)
Sammee Tong ........ Chinese Laundryman
Doodles Weaver ..... Man Outside Hardware Store

Please give enough detail to positively identify the person in the movie; as you can see most of them play various cops which makes it tough if you don't know what they look like... and I must admit I'm not that familiar with a lot of pre-1960s movies. Some I think I know but I need to make sure. Email me if you don't want to clutter up this thread.

Does anyone know of cover images that have been made specifically for the single width 2 disc Amaray (like the one used for Gladiator) cases?

Specifically I'm looking for the 2 disc Amaray covers for disc sets like -
  • X-Files (all seasons)
  • Sopranos
  • Simpsons
  • From the Earth to the Moon

Re: Godfather covers

It might not be such a bad idea to create a separate cover for the fifth disc. I, for one, would like to have it in a separate keepcase.

As for the covers of the movies themselves, they should probably look like the actual covers, although it might be nice to have the original "Godfather" font on the spine. What do you think?

Godfater covers

in another Godfather thread, someone who worked in a video rental store mentioned that Paramount sent along cover sleeves for empty plastic boxes, so there could be something durable on the shelves for the renters to look at/ bring to the counter, etc. the studio realized the video stores' need for these and thought ahead.

would it kill Paramount to make these available to download from their website? their cardboard crap is not gonna last.

hmmm...maybe i should put this in Studio Feedback?

Anybody know where I could find a good, printable cover for The Hudsucker Proxy? It bugs me having just that one Coen Brothers flick in a snapper case.

Thanks!
