Need some help...

I tried doing some reading and searching, but didn't find anything in the forums about this. (I did find this problem on Microsoft's website, but their suggestions didn't help.)

I'm having trouble printing the James Bond covers.

I'm using MS Word 2000 and an HP Deskjet 970cxi set to Other photo papers.

Whether I use the 20mg tiffs or convert it to a 1 mg jpg, I get the following message:

There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.
I've tried this with both my home pc (300mb ram, 600mb free hdd space, Win98) and work laptop (128mb ram, 12 gigs free hdd space, WinME) with the same results.

I also tried using Lotus Word Pro, but it didn't work either.

I've tried the microsoft suggestions of linking to the image, but that made no difference. And obviously, rescanning the image isn't an option.

I think my digital camera came with Photoshop. Should I just try loading that and printing through it? I tried d/ling the cover printing software and the HP patch noted at the beginning of this thread, but they didn't seem to work either.

FYI, I was able to print out a cover for the DTS Demonstration disc #3 and the original Little Shop of Horrors on that total movie (?) disc.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
-David

Snapper conversions

Anyone done a snapper conversion for The Fugitive SE yet?

I'd like the front, spine, back and the insert (chapters) if possible please.

Anyone have a link to a download please?

Thankyou.

Anyone know where I can get high-res DVD-sized artwork for the all of the star wars movies? I have them on VCD, and I'd like to put them in these double-disc plastic DVD cases I bought.. so I'd need the front, back and spine

Or, anyone know where I can get the artwork, logos, etc to try and make my own? I don't have a scanner or I'd mock something up from the vcds

I am also interested in the Basic Instinct cover. Does any one else dislike this case for the movie?

Nurse Betty

I got a used Nurse Betty for my girlfriend off ebay (only like 4 dollars including shipping) but it doesn't have the cover or the insert, and I can't find them at any of the sites...could someone that has it do me a favor and scan it for me? Thanks.

Third vote here for a "Basic Instinct" scan...

I hate the SE packaging! What a bad idea...it's actually possible to scuff the disc on this crap...

[Note To Artisan: It's content, not packaging, that's important...and that ice-pick pen...ugh!]

4th Vote for a Basic Instinct SE scan.

I usually don't care that much about packaging, but someone in Artisan's marketing department must of been under the influence of some powerful drugs when they came up with that idea.

Wow guys, I am in awe over this thread. Stumbled on it by accident, but had no idea something this cool existed.
On the topic... I too just bought The New Edition of Total Recall and Basic Instinct , which I have to admit, really needs the regular type case instead of these cheap looking tins (can't believe they actually paid someone to come up with this stupid looking shoe polish can). More urgently, I have a DVD "Boiler Room", that does not have a case. I checked all your sites (took over an hour) and could not find any scans of this movie.
Can anyone help me with this? I mean...didn't mean to make it sound like begging but perhaps their is a site I missed that could solve my problem.??

I have added a scene selections insert for Close Encounters to my site.

Mickey, I have removed the CTHD R2 image, it has not received many hits and I needed the space.

How about a Close Encounters cover that uses the original theatrical artwork of the road at night, and the correct white Close Encounters font on the spine ?? No spoiler UFO please.

I'll be doing up replacement covers for Friday the 13th parts V & VII next week - because the idiots at Paramount messed up the designs badly.

Thanks MDX for the nice job on the Total Recall SE cover. I was so glad to take it out of that tin.

On a second note: Could someone email me a hi-res. scan of Boiler Room ????? Thanks, if you could be so kind to email it to: [email protected]

This was written with a , please read it that way.

1. Do you have the original theatrical artwork? I would like it.
2. Correct white? I just copied the original DVD cover for the front and spine.
3. Spoiler UFO? Do you own Close Encounters on DVD? If you do, you would know that the front, back and inside all have pictures of the UFO...
Spoiler:
The aliens too

I don't mind the input, I also don't mind someone else making one. Sounds like you have a good idea for CE3K, so go for it. I made these for me and just decided to share them with anyone else that might want them. I am also a 'cover rookie' with not much time on my hands.

Besides Lafe/Disc-Flipper, I am much better at finding covers than making them

Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood alternate cover. This may only be up for 8 more days according to a pop-up at the site.

VII, not VIII. Sorry

I'm having trouble printing out covers. I just installed Photoshop Version 5.0 and the covers print out with sides cut off. Does anyone know what I can do to print this out correctly? Many thanks!

Thanks RMan - I should have known, I have used the covers on that site before. The Toal Recall cover is great, now if I can get BASIC INSTINCT---
Thanks Again

JYANIX

Go to the same URL I was directed to and you will find simple instructions that will help you configure the demensions for the covers. The instructions are just past gallery 4 MDXtremes section. I hope this helps.

I'm not exactly sure with out a better description of what you mean by "sides cut off", but you may need to set your printer properties to print to 'Landscape'.

VERY cool thread!!! I'm hoping you all can help me. I just got a Josie and the Pussycats dvd with no cover and no liner (i.e. chapters list). Can someone please scan them for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!
