After my complaints and as mentioned earlier, I gave it another go with CD-WOW and ordered the UK release of "Hot Fuzz". Over three weeks later and it still hasn't shipped! And this was a new release. AmazonUK has even had a small price drop since then. Order delays, lack of inventory, and assorted other issues have just become too much for me. Hopefully "Hot Fuzz" ships sometime soon. Other than that, it now seems the wise choice to take all my business elsewhere. When thinking of CD-WOW nowadays, instead of excellence, I conjure the image of them sliding ever so slowly towards DVDSOON territory. Very sad; CD-WOW used to be great.

I ordered Hot Fuzz from CD-WOW on June 12th and after e-mailing them they told me it would ship around June 29th but nothing happened so 2 days ago I e-mailed them again and now I received a mail that they are expecting it back in stock around July 16. I cancelled my order. I guess I buy the R1.

I got Hot Fuzz just a few days after release date. That is so far the last order I've done from them.

my order doesn't show up at all. I'll give them until monday to reply to my email otherwise I'll tell them to cancel everything and refund me. I'm sorry to say but it seems like CD-wow is done. maybe they should stop everything for a while until they can be at 100%. between the lawsuit and the fire maybe they should focus on fulfilling orders they have (considering they probably already spent the money for them) and take no more new orders.

I placed an order on 5/29 and received a dispatch notice on 6/6. As of 7/5, I still haven't received my order. On 6/20 I e-mailed them about not receiving my order and within 24 hrs received a response asking me to verify my shipping address. I did so. No further followup on their part. I've e-mailed them several times since and they simply ignore my e-mails.

i got a reply. saying that the they've had supplier issues and expect the dvds to ship out on the 16th of july. I'll probably reply to cancel and get a refund. you are telling me that all 4 dvds are not around and that the same four will be available on the same day. sure!!! I bet. maybe they need to stop until they get their supplier issues worked out.

Hopefully their "supplier issues" are not financial related.

I've had the exact same problems with regards to Hot Fuzz, except my email from customer service says they expect to be able to ship out on July 7th. I ordered two other titles at the same time, and they arrived within the week. I'm willing to give the company another try, but further delays will cause me to cancel my order and delete their website from my bookmarks.

I'm trying to checkout now, and it doesn't appear to be using Worldpay. Instead it is showing something called Paynova. The kicker is, the webpage where you are supposed to enter CC info is not even secure.

Anyone else seen this?

That frame is not secure but I assume once you press the button it becomes secure as it moves to the next stage.

If unsure don't risk it.

I finally got an e-mail that they received my order cancellation but, well read yourself here is the mail:

"Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

I have now cancelled the item as requested.

However, due to a temporary technical problem involving the server connecting our site to that of our payment provider (Worldpay), we are unable to process the refund.

As soon as the problem is resolved I will process the full refund back to your card.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience that this will inevitably cause.

Kind Regards,

Lisa
CD WOW! Customer Services"

Too bad, I loved their service and prices, but right now I wouldn't order from them again.

Maybe forward the email to Worldpay and ask them to deal with it.

I will give it a few days and after that I dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Maybe they will refund me within a few days. I will post it if something happens.

Dirk

@benedict Good idea, I should do that before talking to my credit card company.

All I did after receiving the weird email from cd-wow that I posted is e-mailing cd-wow to please let me know when the refund is issued. I wanted to give them a few days to do it. I once cancelled a cd-wow order before and worldpay does notify you when they do a refund the same way they e-mail you when they receive a payment from you. I never e-mailed worldpay direct about this.

Add me to the "July 16" list: I ordered the R2 Transformers: the Movie SE back in the beginning of June, and it's already been pushed back twice. Part of me now wishes I'd said heck with the $2 off and free shipping and just went with amazon.co.uk. This will probably end up being my last order with CD-Wow.

I put in an order for BLEAK HOUSE 3 disc,
They got their money-and then no response.
I couldnt even find the order in my account.
I had to email them with the worldpay confirmation
page, and my banks cc capture info.

They write back that their computers are acting up.
I now see BH on my order account, with a "dispatch pending"
Not another DVDSOON, I pray.
------
>>Maybe forward the email to Worldpay and ask them to deal with it.

I think they own Worldpay.

I think they should blank out their web pages asking for "no more orders"
It would be the right thing to do.
Not everyone knows their troubles, an may unknowingly still order things.

When I ordered Bleak House from them, my account at us site didn't have that record too. But I could find it's listed in .com (uk) site.

I got the DVD 8 days after my order.

CD-WOW is full of crap. I just got an email which reads as follow:
Dear buddhawake*

We are sorry but we have had to cancel your order: XXXXXXX and refund the payment you have made. Your order has been cancelled for the following reason. Our payment service provider reported a discrepancy when processing the payment for your order. The address you supplied as the Card Holders address for the card did not match the record held by your card issuer.

*changed duh.
Anyway so they keep my money for a whole month, I hope they got decent interest out of it. This is total BS as is the same card I've always used and never had a problem also, I have another order pending using the same card and address and that one hasn't been canceled yet. Is all good as they did me the favor of me not having to write to them on the 17th an cancel the order which I'm sure would have ended with a new expected date.

The new dispatch date came and went with no word. I sent a cancellation request for Hot Fuzz on Tuesday, and got the response last night. The refund hasn't shown up yet, but hopefully everything's resolved now.
