How much is the savings and how do you place an order with this shipping option?

Are there any online reviews discussing the Thai release?

There is a checkbox on the order form that says to remove cases (they only do plain ones, any fancy packaging is left intact). At the time of order, they calculate shipping with cases, then when they have removed them and actually shipped it, they send you the confirmation email with the recalculated shipping.

According to their website, the difference is usually negligible for 1-2 disc orders. My order was for about 20 titles (just a bit over $100, what a deal), and shipping with cases via fedex was ~$40. Without cases, it ended up ~$20. I can get single cases locally for less than 25 cents (actually free if I ask nicely at Blockbuster Video when they are about throw out the cases for that week's shipment) so I expect to have saved at least $15 with that option.

I just finished watching the Thai release. I have not seen any other versions. But, comparing the screen shots above - particularly the one with just the main character and his helmet/face-plate - the quality seems to be identical, at least for detail level and color matching (there is a similar screen shot on imdb where the reds are more saturated and the blues are less saturated which got me started looking around for comparisons, I have to conclude that the image on imdb has been modified compared to both the HK and the Thai dvds - in fact, the same screen shot is on the dvdasian page for the Thai DVD and the colors there are also out of whack compared to the actual DVDs).

Just in case anyone was wondering, I have not looked at the second disc or anything beyond the movie itself. For $9+shipping I am pretty satisified with this edition, even if the second disc turns out to be totally incomprehensible to me.

What an absolutely terrible film. Overly art directed, incredibly confused storyline, ultra-preachy "message", with CGs that look straight from a X-Box game. Incredibly inconsistent visuals, sometimes looking like a sci-fi, sometimes looking like it's lifted from Lord of the Rings! Not to talk about the terrible acting and zero character development. And god, the "action" scenes are go overblown and choppy that it's almost unwatchable.

The film is desparately trying to be "Cool", but overdid it by about 1000%. If I saw this at the cinemas, I would have long walked out.

I was a tad confused as to why he replied to a Casshern thread in the movie forum, and then felt the need to come here and resurrect an almost 2 y/o thread to repeat that he hated it, but the above tops it.
