Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread
holy shit. this Neverending Story set is humongous. i never dreamed it would be a 1:1 size ratio. it's enormous and it came to work. i was kinda embarrassed. but, i saw the movie last night. the German extended edition. gave me chills. one of my favs from childhood...

Mr. Simpson, this is the most blatant case of false advertising since my suit against the film 'The Neverending Story'.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread
I thought it was a little bitty Blu-ray sized thing with a little special packaging.

I neglected to post the May titles:

(The ShawShock collection includes The Oily Maniac, Seeding of a Ghost, and Sex Beyond the Grave.)
And we have some reveals to look forward to tomorrow:

And we have some reveals to look forward to tomorrow:
We’re adding three more titles to our Imprint Asia collection in July! 🗡️🐎💀
Three Shaw Brothers epics, packed with action, sorcerers, mystic martial arts and sword-slashing revenge aplenty.
Tune in tomorrow for the big reveal!

Two of these are in the most recent ShawScope volume. I think this is the first high-def release of The Weird Man.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread
Just noticed Imprint’s new edition of THE KEEP on their website, coming Sept. 10. Despite it having substantial extras not on the Vinegar Syndrome edition it’s offensively overpriced at nearly $200 AUD (~$130 US)
in part because of all the paper tchotchkes included in it and presumably the cross reproduction embedded in the box. It has four commentaries, which is overkill, but at least two of them feature production personnel. One of those tracks is an assemblage of audio taken from interviews conducted for the feature-length retro documentary that’s included. The doc sounds worthwhile despite apparently being shot between 2011 and 2015, but I can easily wait for the standard edition down the road, or for whatever US company (Kino?) reissues the film when VS’s license expires, as it will probably find a home there, too. This edition includes four of the interviews from the VS set, drops two of them (Peter Kuran and monster actor Michael Carter) but adds a couple of vintage making-of promos, the alternate TV ending (long on YouTube), extensive still galleries, the aforementioned documentary plus special features for that, and a CD soundtrack (I don’t really understand the point of these nowadays, but I guess they’re added value for some).
Imprint also announced a similarly overpriced LE box for Tobe Hooper’s LIFEFORCE for November 25. This doesn’t appear to have any new special feature over the previous Shout or Arrow sets.

Incredibly stoked for the late John Huston box set.
Wise Blood
Under The Volcano
The Dead.
The most underrated director of the 70s and 80s. John Huston.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread
This news is about a month old, but I just happened to stumble across it while googling some info about the Golden Princess library. If this keeps up we might get sick of these films!
Mind you, based on Imprint’s history of overstuffed and overpriced hard box sets, I’m confident I’ll be sticking with the Arrow or Shout editions (or both, knowing my bad habits with HK movies).
