Will need to pick up Not One Less. Hopefully, Kino puts out My Summer of Love.

and I’ll probably pick up Weird at some point. I’d love to get Wicker Man, but it’s really expensive.
I only have a handful and two of them got released in the US after I made my purchase.

Love Imprint, they've done everything possible to serve up films which were languishing and stuck on DVD.

Return to Paradise looks gorgeous. Really good master. It’s too bad about Ann Heche. She was a real cutie in this.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

It’s an expensive set. It’s too bad I just got Extreme Prejudice and The Driver. Already had Johnny Handsome, but Imprint does well by me.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

Damn. I have all those Walter Hill movies on bluray, but for some reason I’m still considering that set. If they were all UHD’s like Driver I definitely would.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

I’ve been for Searching For Bobby Fischer since Imprint has been doing a lot of Paramount catalog not previously on Blu-ray. One more DVD I can retire.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

If they’re as expensive as Imprint’s other releases, I doubt I’ll be getting too many, and seeing one Japanese film and one (sorta) Hong Kong film in a sea of Mainland China stuff tells me – at least for now – who’s buttering their bread. 🙄

It’ll be amazing to finally get a proper restoration of Farewell My Concubine. For a Palme d’Or, Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee, it’s been criminally neglected on physical media.

The 4K restoration has already happened and has been playing theatrically by Film Movement. They'll eventually release the disc in the US.

Interesting to see LET’S GET HARRY there. Well, I suppose Alan Smithee is overdue for reappraisal. Or something. Does the director’s cut still exist for that one?

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

The time has come for our very first edition of Imprint Asia - our brand-new line of contemporary & classic Asian cinema.
These three remarkable films are coming to Blu-ray in March, available for pre-order now!
=========
LOST IN THE STARS (2023)
We are kicking off with this 2023 Chinese blockbuster, a Hitchcockian crime mystery thriller produced by Chen Sicheng, “one of the giants of contemporary Chinese Cinema” (Variety).
The film follows the disappearance of He Fei's wife, Li Muzi. When she returns, he insists that she is not his wife…
=========
THE SEA IS WATCHING (2002)
Worldwide first on Blu-ray!
Based on the final screenplay written by the legendary Akira Kurosawa, this Japanese romance is the story of a beautiful young geisha, who hides a samurai seeking refuge.
Directed by Kei Kumai, winner of the Directors Guild Of Japan New Director’s Award, this beautiful picture stars Misa Shimizu and Masatoshi Nagase.
=========
THE BLIND SWORDSMAN: ZATOICHI (2003)
This action-packed revival of the classic Zatoichi series was directed, written, co-edited by and stars Takeshi Kitano (Battle Royale, Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence).
Our release includes a brand NEW Audio Commentary by film historian and author Sean Redmond.

Re: The Imprint Films Blu-ray Thread

Charlton Heston fans should check out Imprint's release of Diamond Head. They licensed an older HD master from Sony but it's unlikely to ever receive another Blu-ray edition.
