Vudu has added the movies. Although they're not yet available for purchase.

All of them (except for A New Hope) are Disney Movies Anywhere compatible. It looks like you can buy the movies individually, or in a bundle with all 6.

Fox holds the distribution rights in perpetuity. There could still be a deal made to clean it up and put it in a set. Universal still holds the distribution rights to Incredible Hulk, and yet they were able to make a deal to put it in the phase I box set.

The difference of course is that Star Wars is one of the five or ten most popular movies of all time, while Incredible Hulk has become a semi-forgotten Marvel movie.

Precisely. Plus, of course, the fact that Lucas has hacked up the negatives of the OOT and gone on a rampage to destroy every print he can find.

I've always thought that the OOT's audience was limited to the die-hard who've been clamoring for it for years and years. I don't think that the average person who watches movies panned and scanned really cares.

Vudu. Really? Lol.
Enjoying Harmy's Despecialized Editions in .mkv. Will buy OOT if ever released properly. Otherwise, tuning back out again while they continue to milk this ugly bitch.

Nice to see the prequel documentaries that weren't included with the blu-ray set. (unfortunately I don't see the OT one) Hopefully those will be included on a future release of some kind.

I would buy Empire Of Dreams as a stand alone for $9.99 but I will not buy the shit editions of OT to get it.

I agree with this. While the film would probably sell decently on its own as part of a trilogy or complete saga box set is where the money really is. I would think Fox realizes this and that it's more to their benefit to work with Disney and share profits.

I've long opined that what they should do is put the big OOT remaster in a big expensive boxed set and force the fans who want to it to pay more for the whole thing. It's obviously not what I'd PREFER that they do, but if after reading reviews I find the the OOT remaster is as it should be, I'll pay any price for it.

Release date?
Bonus features included only if you purchase the six-movie bundle?
Deleted scenes included as bonus features?
This kind of makes me wonder if the blu-ray will go OOP and a new set will be released (2017?).
