Tentacles! Think Jaws, only with a...yeah, you get it. Same presentation (as far as I know?) as the old Scream Factory double feature. No new extras, although at least you get a bunch of fancy artwork. I don't think much of the movie, so a shiny new 4K remaster or a wealth of extras probably wouldn't have moved the needle much, but the lack of all that sure makes it easier to say "Rent It / Stream It" instead.

Unobstructed View is having a Kino Sale all May. 40% off.
Alas, not including the coming Dollars flicks 4ks but they are already listed at $25.99.
Good, the Bad and the Ugly comes down to about $23. With shipping, all three can be had for under $100 CDN but I think I am waiting to see the reviews for Fistful of Dollars and Few Dollars More because these flicks have been through the transfer ringer a few times.
Still, I read good things about Good/Bad/Ugly so here's hoping Kino does well by the other's in the Man with No Name trilogy

Pretty interesting considering Paramount seemed to be pulling back on licensing and has been releasing a lot of titles themselves.
Additional info from the Kino Insider:
- No new CBS titles in the deal, maybe if we do a followup deal next year. We renewed Prime Cut, Monte Walsh and The Challenge.
- Yes, the package includes many titles previously released by Paramount, I would say the majority of them were released by them.
- The deal includes UHD titles.

I sure wish I could see a list of titles before I decide to drop $150+ on that neo noir set from Imprint.

Man, I want The Octagon along with A Force of One and Good Guys Wear Black. The previous BD versions went out of print. All 3 are being released the same day.
But, I think the smarter thing to do is to wait until they go on sale than jump at the initial release date.
Someone on the KL Facebook page asked about Forced Vengeance, but they said WB has the home video rights and they don't do business with them. But, MGM was the producing studio. I know cause I have the DVD.

The DVD is from Warner, though, right?
Warner holds the rights to MGM’s library from their inception through Killer Party (which Scream Factory recently released!) in May ‘86.

The Code Red Blu-ray for the Octagon has an interesting interview with co-star Tadashi Yamashita that doesn't appear to be included on Kino's release. Maybe they'll surprise us. Would've been nice if one of these had also included the "How American Cinema Group Changed Hollywood Forever" documentary that appeared on earlier DVDs and the UK Blu-rays. Despite the self-important title, it's a pretty good piece.

From Ted Post, the acclaimed director of Hang ’Em High, Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Magnum Force, Go Tell the Spartans and Nightkill, comes the explosive martial arts classic Good Guys Wear Black. In the role that launched him into stardom, the legendary Chuck Norris (A Force of One, Code of Silence) is John T. Booker, an ex-Vietnam commando whose war actions have landed him at the top of the CIA’s hit list. Aided by a beautiful Senate investigator (Anne Archer, Narrow Margin), Booker unravels a devious scheme of treachery and intrigue in this stunt-filled, action-packed thriller, filmed against the backgrounds of championship auto racing, the ski slopes of Squaw Valley and the backrooms of Washington, D.C. Co-starring James Franciscus (The Greek Tycoon), Lloyd Haynes (The Greatest), Dana Andrews (The Satan Bug), Jim Backus (TV’s Gilligan’s Island), Soon-Tek Oh (Missing in Action 2) and featuring the first screen appearance by Norris’ brother Aaron Norris (Lone Wolf McQuade).

I would probably expect the A Force of One announcement to be dropped pretty soon as well.
Like I said earlier, I'll probably wait until a Kino sale when these drop to around $10 or so. I can wait.
The only pre-Cannon Norris movie that I have no interest in is Breaker Breaker. I hated that movie. It's also too bad that Silent Rage is with Mill Creek and they already released a cheapo version of it.

One by one, a squad of undercover narcotics agents is being eliminated by a mysterious assassin. Those felled are left virtually unmarked, except for one cruel death mark—the work of a lethal martial artist. To help discover the identity of the karate killer, the police enlist the aid of Matt Logan (undefeated six-time world karate champion Chuck Norris, An Eye for an Eye, Code of Silence), who’s training to defend his title against Jerry Sparks (kickboxer Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, The Protector). Amanda Rust (Jennifer O’Neill, The Reincarnation of Peter Proud), a key member of the undercover team, is the first to put the pieces together. Can she warn Logan before he steps into the ring? Directed by Paul Aaron (Deadly Force) and co-starring Clu Gulager (The Return of the Living Dead) and Ron O’Neal (Super Fly), this high-voltage thriller is bursting with non-stop action and suspense!

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

John Ford's only feature-length work to be set during the Civil War, The Horse Soldiers is well-crafted but disappointingly uneven. With as troubled a production as it was and with as lackluster as its screenplay is, it's remarkable that the film turned out as well as it did. KL Studio Classics' reissue boasts a new 4K remaster (though I can't say that it approaches the heights of their more striking remasters) and a first-rate audio commentary by Ford biographer Joseph McBride.

Really surprised it took this long for 2 Days in the Valley on BD. One of my earliest DVD purchases if I recall correctly.

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread
Kino Lorber just signed an 18 movie deal with Lionsgate, which, as far as I know, is the first licensing deal Lionsgate has done with any label.
