Maria's Lovers coming January 11th

I don't think I ever saw this movie. I recall seeing it in video store shelves. It was Nastassja Kinski in her prime. And this was a Cannon films movie as well.

^Thanks for the heads-up, Tom. I'll probably just grab it at D.D. I haven't ordered it yet, but for me this is an absolute must-have.

Actually, I did end up placing an order with Kino-Lorber. In my annual or biannual googling of my Want List, I discovered two more movies that K.L. has released, presumably in the intervening months since I last searched. Two classic TV movies I never expected to see released on DVD, much less blu-ray: the scary The Victim (1972), which has proto-slasher plotting and POV cinematography, and is the better of the two films; and The Screaming Woman (1972), an entertaining, tense version of that old chestnut, "No one believes old Aunt Martha witnessed a murder".
Someone at that outfit is a person after my own heart. I think I'll fire off an email.

At the same time they released those 2 they also released Scream Pretty Peggy with Bette Davis, in fact I am recently seeing those 3 discs advertised and displayed together quite a lot, almost like they are a set. I might get them some day if they’re priced cheaply enough during a sale.

Scream, Pretty Peggy, while not bad, isn't nearly as effective a vehicle of suspense as the other two, imo, slybone.

Kudos to Kino for choosing vintage classics on the format. A shame the major studios are mostly forsaking older films on UHD.

Yay, I received Homebodies, The Victim, and The Screaming Woman today. It's wonderful to own these relative rarities as official releases, not bootlegs. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to email K.L. with a wishlist. Homebodies, especially, is a real treasure.

I hope Kino continues to get Twilight Time titles... like the Woody Allen films.

Yes!!! Those shall be mine. Finally HD upgrades. I own A Force of One and The Octagon on DVD, but don't have Good Guys Wear Black on any format.

I’ll totally upgrade The Octagon, at a minimum.

YouTube free movies had Octagon about 4-5 months ago and I watched it for the 1st time in many years. It's dated as hell, but still a fun Norris movie.

It's a very rare Norris movie that has some brief nudity.

re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

A buddy gave me an Amazon GC for Christmas and I used it to get Murphy's Law and Hard Target 4K. They come out February 15th and 22nd respectively. Hard Target is the fixed version. I guess the initial release had some issues. Murphy's Law the sleazy 80s Charles Bronson Cannon Films thriller that was mentioned here before.

Apparently Manhunter will be coming out to 4K sometime this year from Kino Lorber. Bill Hunt announced it and a bunch of other new releases on Rob Burnett's show on physical media on YouTube.

I guess the Shout license is now expired.

I skipped the Shout Bluray of Manhunter because I had three different DVD releases to hold me over, but depending on what the 4k looks like I might splurge.

The other question is which version of the movie it will be. That film has multiple edits.

Kino Lorber said today it’s not coming from them.

We tried to acquire the rights, but it wasn't available. It's most likely coming from another label.

What's the name of the channel or just search for Rob Burnett?
