I don't know the time code, but Bill Hunt was on that show yesterday and I watched the whole thing. It was in the later half of the show. He looked at a list he had and made all those announcements including Manhunter. I tweeted to Bill to let him know and sent the link to that thread.

For the record, I find Cool As Ice kind of fascinating. I wouldn't call it good, but it's got way more going for it than most bad movies. The cinematography, for example, is actually pretty spectacular (much discussed in the commentary). It's also really weird in an almost absurdist way. I didn't see it as a kid (although for some reason I distinctly remember the radio ads), so I have no particular nostalgia for it. I only even saw it for the first time within the last 10 years, but it's like comfort food for me now.
It also introduced me to the phrase "schling a schlong", so I'm eternally grateful for that.

Depending on how reviews are, I might have to upgrade my copy of New Year's Evil.
Currently, I only have the Shout! Factory BD.

I just posted my review of God's Gun, and while I'd certainly appreciate anyone taking the time to read it, it's only the third time in five years that I've felt compelled to whip out DVD Talk's lowest possible recommendation. And you've seen what I usually write about!

My new Blu-Ray for the old Charles Bronson movie Murphy's Law just came in this week. I had just recently seen it on Starz maybe less than 6 months ago, so it was still very fresh on my mind.
Trashy 80s cop thriller that was the norm for the time. Pretty good new transfer. it was on par with what I saw on Starz. But maybe slightly crisper.
There's 2 notable bonus features. A commentary with a film historian and Kathleen Wilhoite, who was Bronson's co-star. And there's a 19 minute interview with Robert Lyons, who played Bronson's partner and worked with him on other Cannon movies. The interview is a little dry and very low key. Lyons talks about his time mostly working with "Charlie" And he also mentions what a jerk Michael Winner was.
The menu is just a static shot of Bronson firing a gun with the Murphy's Law theme song playing. I never picked up the Twilight Time release, so I'm glad to now have this. I have most of Bronson's Cannon movies on BD that I want.

My 4K copy of Hard Target came in yesterday from Amazon.
The 4K disc has only the audio commentary as an extra
The BD has all the interviews and commentary. I watched the John Woo interview. It runs about 12-14 minutes. There is no subtitles option and he may be a little difficult to understand at some points. But, it's a good interview about his memories of working on the movie. He mentioned the producers flew to Hong Kong to sell him on the movie. Woo does speak fluent English, but he does ramble a lot. I've noticed that in past interviews. Also, I didn't realize that Sam Raimi was a producer on the movie and Woo does talk about working with him and how he enjoyed it.
I'm going to check out the Yancy Butler and Lance Henriksen interviews later on. I've always found Yancy Butler attractive and she still looks good in her early 50s now.

Kino Lorber (not Studio Classics) is releasing this 4K remastered version in theatres. I'm sure it will come to disc eventually. This seems like it would be up some people on this forum's alley.

Exploding onto screens nationwide March 25!
Part documentary, part rock film, and all kinds of crazy. Stunt Rock is a feature length ode to fearless Australian stuntman Grant Page (the Mad Max films, Road Games, The Gods Of Egypt). Real-life stuntman Grant Page travels to Los Angeles to work on a television series, and in his spare time lends his expertise to his cousin's rock band Sorcery – helping them develop pyrotechnic magic tricks for their stage shows. All while finding himself in a budding romance with reporter Lois Wills (Margaret Gerard).
Helmed by Ozploitation legend Brian Trenchard-Smith (BMX Bandits, Deathcheaters), Stunt Rock is a breathless, action-packed 90-minute trailer. Footage from other of his films (as well as licensed clips from the original Gone in 60 Seconds) pad out the impressive new stunts and the Spinal Tap-esque musical excursions of Sorcery, featuring an on-stage battle between good and evil, magic, a wizard, and a flame-throwing devil... Stunt Rock is danger as you never imagined it!

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

If you were wondering how KL Studio Classics' new 2K remaster of New Year's Evil stacks up next to Scream Factory's special edition from a while back, I just posted my review, with screenshot and audio comparisons. Same extras, similar audio, and improved but not wildly different video. Not the most essential upgrade and far from the most essential slasher. But I have bad taste and kinda like it anyway.

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread
Damn.. every film by legendary director, except the one I really want: FAHRENHEIT 451, in a remastered, non-DNRd, non ancient, smudgy master. We have about 5 or 6 terrible, smudgy Blu-ray releases of that film released, and they all use the same awful 35-year-old master. We need a scan from the OCN, with modern encoding and telecine. Damn, such a lost opportunity, as Kino's recent releases have been vastly superior to what they once were. The company now does very good work, outstanding encodes, on BD-50s.

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread
Those Truffaut films are all licensed from MGM. Fahrenheit 451 is Universal.

Re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

Tentacles! Think Jaws, only with a...yeah, you get it. Same presentation (as far as I know?) as the old Scream Factory double feature. No new extras, although at least you get a bunch of fancy artwork. I don't think much of the movie, so a shiny new 4K remaster or a wealth of extras probably wouldn't have moved the needle much, but the lack of all that sure makes it easier to say "Rent It / Stream It" instead.
