Nice to have the option but I wish it was still Target. Mainly because I don't have a Best Buy locally.

Lately I’ve been attracted to mostly Target exclusives Blu-rays so it been far and few between that I’ve had to go to Best Buy for anything (although I did just pick up the steelbook of Justice League: The New Frontier at Best Buy last week) but it looks like I’ll be stopping by more often if the steelbook exclusives have moved.

I might get the one for Batman vs. Two-Face so it matches Return of the Caped Crusaders. Might just pick and choose the ones I really want after that one and go back to buying the standard versions of the rest.

My Batman vs Two-Face Steelbook just shipped!
I think this is way easier than Target. Even if I hadn't ordered a copy to ship, I know that I could safely order one for in-store pick up on Monday night or Tuesday morning -- something I could never do with Target.
Also Best Buy looked to have some reprints of those Hardcover Graphic Novels + Blu Rays. I saw Death of Superman, Batman Black & White (+ Gotham Knight), Justice League Origin (War), JLA Earth 2 and Batman Under the Red Hood (which I don't remember ever seeing before as a set). They're on sale for $12.99 each; a nice deal.

That’s pretty cool. I wasn’t as big of a fan of Batman: The Brave and the Bold but it’s decent. I’ve always been a fan of Scooby-Doo and the gang though so should hopefully be a fun crossover.

That sure looks like it will be fun. I did notice the commercial only stated DVD and digital. I wonder if it will get a Blu-ray release or not.

Ah that’s a bummer. It wouldn’t surprise me though as releases like this that are more aimed at kids don’t always get Blu-ray releases. I’ll still grab it though. Looks like a lot of fun.

How the hell in this day and age a release gets only a DVD/digital release and not blu-ray?!?

That does look pretty good. It’s one of the better Elseworlds tales along with Red Son. I’m hoping that gets made at some point too.

Wow! That looked so good and so different. And
to it being R rated. Hope Target gets the steel for this one. I’ll preorder now if it were up...

Re: DC Animated Universe Films
I believe Warner Archive will get to that Scooby-Doo/Batman crossover on Blu-ray if Warner's main home video division doesn't. Warner Archive already put out those Brave and the Bold seasons on Blu-ray.
I haven't mentioned this before anywhere but I learned a couple of weeks ago from an insider that Warner Archive has already prepared Superman: The Animated Series for Blu-ray. It will come out from them after Batman: The Animated Series does next year. And no, it hasn't been officially scheduled yet but is almost certainly going to happen.

That surprises me. I can see Batman: The Animated Series but Superman: The Animated Series has never seemed quite as popular.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially detailed the Blu-ray release of Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, based on the first true Elseworlds tale from DC comics. Follow a steampunk Batman as he hunts Jack the Ripper through the shadows of turn-of-the-century Gotham City when the animated film arrives on Blu-ray and Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray on February 6, 2018.
Inspired by the landmark one-shot Elseworlds tale by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola, Batman: Gotham By Gaslight takes place at the turn of the century as America's continued industrial revolution is to be showcased at a World's Fair hosted by Gotham City. But while the world prepares to witness the glittery glory of Gotham's technological advances, there is a killer loose in the city's darkest shadows. Preying on the city's women, this killer is as precise as he is cruel. As Police Commissioner James Gordon tries to calm the fears of Gotham's citizens regarding the butcher called Jack the Ripper, the masked vigilante Batman enacts his own detective work – with the help of confident, capable Selina Kyle – to stop the Ripper's murderous spree. Witness a world in flames as the notorious serial killer's controlled savagery meets the calculated stealth of the Dark Knight.
Acclaimed for his performance in Batman: Under The Red Hood, Bruce Greenwood (American Crime Story, Star Trek, iRobot) reprises his role as the voice of the Dark Knight, while Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter, Limitless) makes her DC Universe Movies debut as the voice of Selina Kyle. The voice cast also features Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls, Justice League Unlimited) as James Gordon, Anthony Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Merlin) as Alfred Pennyworth, Yuri Lowenthal (Batman Unlimited, Young Justice) as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio (Futurama, Adventure Time) as Chief Bullock, William Salyers (Batman vs. Two-Face) as Hugo Strange, and Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls) as Sister Leslie. The cast also includes notable voice actors Tara Strong, Bob Joles, David Forseth, Chris Cox, Lincoln Melcher and Kari Wuhrer.
Producer Sam Liu (Batman and Harley Quinn, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract) also directs Batman: Gotham By Gaslight from a script by Jim Krieg (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox). Alan Burnett is co-producer. Executive Producers are Sam Register and Bruce Timm (Batman: The Killing Joke). Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan are executive producers.
"We're thrilled to bring this classic Elseworlds story to life," said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. "Gotham By Gaslight is the original Elseworlds tale from DC, and we know the fans have been anticipating this gritty adaptation. Fans will be transported to an alternate reality with this unexpected tale of the Dark Knight."
The Blu-ray edition is presented in 1080p, while the Ultra HD edition is presented in 2160p 4K. Both versions feature a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track.
Extras include:
"Caped Fear: The First Elseworld" (Featurette) – Batman in the distant past of Gotham, at the crossroads of where the Gothic 19th century meets the modern age. Jack the Ripper, clashing with Gotham and its ruling elite. The documentary traces the influence of the comic book story, and why Gotham by Gaslight stands the test of time.
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight Audio Commentary – Join Executive Producer Bruce Timm, Director Sam Liu and Writer Jim Krieg as they provide details about the scenes of Batman: Gotham by Gaslight and why this is a special project for each of them. Listen in for all things Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and immerse once more into this dark and Gothic world.
A Sneak Peek at the next DC Universe Movie, Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay: A behind-the-scenes look at the next entry in the popular series of DC Universe Movies, featuring thoughts from the talented filmmakers.
From the DC Vault – "Showdown" episode from Batman: The Animated Series; "Trials of the Demon!" episode from Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
