Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray
To be brutally honest, all three of these movies are pretty much crap.
I don't think there's much reason to upgrade from blu-rays for these. 4K isn't going to make Curse or Resurrection any better. And I know H20 has its fans, but I found it be a pretty generic slasher flick.
The only Halloween movie I'd bother with on 4K is the first one.

I think a strong case could be made for Season of the Witch and Return of Michael Myers, but yeah, Halloween is in the running as the worst hit-to-miss ratio of any of the long-running franchises. (Admittedly, I haven’t seen a lot of the Texas Chainsaw or Saw sequels, so one of those might actually win out.)
But I’m cursed with both a completionist mindset and a masochistic streak to see if Resurrection really is bad as I remember it being, so…

I've bought these damned movies so many times that the big limited edition blu-ray box Scream put out a few years ago is probably my last hurrah with these films, though I might eventually pick up the 4K UHD of the first one at some point 'cuz it's a goddamned certified classic.

I find enjoyment in all the films up to H20 truthfully. The Revenge of Michael Myers is pretty bad but I can still watch it if it’s on or during a marathon.
I’d say Resurrection isn’t very good but in a super corny way I kind of like it every so often. Haven’t revisited the two Zombie films in a long time. The David Gordon Green films aren’t as good or clever as they think they are.

Surely there are less masochistic and vastly more affordable ways to confirm this than justifying the outlay of over $80? Seems like nearly every previous DVD version – and there were a bunch – is super cheap. For good reason, too.

I had the box set in my cart and had the curser hovering over the place order button but couldn't do it. I just really need the original film for this series. I like all of the Friday The 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street films but when it comes to Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the original is all that I like.

If this was F13 I’d have purchased it immediately. Halloween is the best slasher of all time and one of my favorite films. I also really like 2 & 3. After that the Halloween series takes a severe nose dive.
The Friday series however flawed, I can find more watchable.

I still love 1-4. The rest…..not so much. A couple others are watchable. I remember thinking Halloween Kills could possibly redeem Halloween 2018 😂😂😂. When instead it made Zombies Halloween 2 and Resurrection look not so bad.
That said, I’m a glutton for punishment. So
if a 4K set with all 13.5 movies comes out, I’ll gladly buy the whole damn thing.

Did anyone happen to catch the Walmart price mistake for the 1995-2002 Halloween 4K collection?
It was priced this morning at $22.98 and the price went viral. Currently sold out. Seems like orders are shipping as one poster on Twitter says. I didn't notice the tweet until way too late. But, this was not something I really wanted anyways.

Wow, wish I had seen that, for $23 no brainer.

I got in at the very end. I’m not expecting to receive it.
If I do happen to get it, I’ll probably have to buy 4 & 5 to complete the set.

Got in before it was pulled. It would be cool if it gets fulfill but if not it’s not the hugest deal.

I’d already preordered with what I thought was a fantastic deal from Movies Unlimited, but I figured there was no harm in giving this a shot either. If they’re both fulfilled, I’ll just ship the MU back for a refund.
I’ve only seen Curse and H20 once each — the latter only on VHS, I think — and Resurrection when it first came out on DVD. I don’t love any of these movies, but I’m looking forward to catching up with them again and finding out if Resurrection is as unwatchable as I remember it being.

I’m hoping the deal goes through. I enjoy all the films in the set (even Resurrection is a guilty pleasure). Plus the set has a cool look with the slip box.

I hate I missed it. I hope it gets honored and you guys get it who got in!
Of course the one day I don't check the Bargain Forum. No deals hardly happen anymore, that section is almost dead and then this happens. My luck.

Mine is marked “cancellation requested today”. Not by me, of course. No email yet, but I’m sure one is coming.
