Where are you seeing it for $63.50? It looks like Amazon is currently out of stock.

The 10 disc set doesn't include the Producer's Cut and I believe is also missing the bonus disc among the 5 extra discs. The Producer's Cut is one of the biggest draws for having this.

Whoever bought that version thinking they got a deal got screwed.

I don't know. 3 of the 5 exclusive discs in the deluxe set are pretty worthless to me. As only a casual fan of the series I could probably even let go of the extras disc. The producer's cut is the only one that would cause me to hesitate. That said, I probably wouldn't watch it enough to justify the 30 or so extra dollars for the deluxe. In the end I would be getting 10 movies for about 6 bucks a pop. That's not too bad. I may bite.

I saw the producers cut online once. It was an improvement, but still only a film I'll watch every 5 years at best. I think it'll still be online next time I want to see it.

The point is this is the first legal copy of it and it's in high definition. Not some shitty standard definition boot leg. Plus there are new extras and a commentary track on it.

Yeah it still is really cool that it was finally made available officially. That cut is probably one of the more famous alternate cuts of a film and to finally have it available in decent quality rather than just some crappy bootleg was a nice inclusion to making this box set even better. I still don't think its necessarily a great film by any means but I do enjoy it better than the actual theatrical cut.

Obviously.

I was just posting a thought that getting HD access to the cut isn't necessarily worth the premium. There's plenty of valid reasons to want the limited set; I'm sure I'll own it someday.

And like 90% of all film/TV is only available in crappy standard definition.

Yeah, the Producer's Cut is just the main selling point for the diehard fans. Also the fact that this is the first and maybe only time that the films have been or will be put together in one box set and plus we even get the TV cuts of Halloween and Halloween II (which have been available but still). The set just seems fairly definitive despite some minor flaws.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

I just got my copy in the mail today.

I'm about to check my copy of Halloween 4. I have to ask again: are ALL Halloween 4's messed up or just certain ones?

Could I please be given time codes so I can check to see if it's messed up? Thank you!

I think they all are, not just certain discs.

Amazon sold out or pulled for the audio issue?

I also got the impression that the issue is better or worse depending on which player is being used.

I have't got a chance to check my two players yet. At this point I'll probably just wait for the replacment program to be kicked off and send mine in. No reason to hold onto the original disc even if the effect is less on my players.

It's probably a case like with the Twin Peaks boxset where turning 24p on or off helps the sync.

Supposedly the sync problems do not occur on Oppo's players.

Halloween 4: Audio Sync Issue

On behalf of Anchor Bay and Scream Factory, we want to thank everyone that has purchased the Halloween Complete Collection. We hope you are enjoying it and all the work that went into bringing it to you, the fans. Unfortunately there is an audio sync issue with Halloween 4 that has always existed on that film with every release. We attempted to fix one of the problems prior to this release but in doing so, it created sync issues elsewhere in the film, which has now come to light. For the past two weeks we have been working to fix the problems that have arisen and we have been able to fix the sync issues at the 46 minute mark. We will be issuing a replacement disc to anyone that has been affected.

If you were affected by a Halloween 4 sync issue and would like a replacement disc sent to you, please follow these instructions:

In order to receive a replacement with the first batch being sent, send an e-mail to [email protected] no later than October 31, 2014 and include the following:

1) Proof of purchase (photo or scan of receipt or digital receipt from on-line retailer)
2) Your name
3) Mailing address

Your replacement disc will then be shipped to arrive no later than November 14, 2014.

Thank you again for bringing Michael home.

Well, still haven't received my copy as of today. I guess I have to finally come to the conclusion that they really cancelled my order!

What's up with no replacements after 10/31? I get that AB doesn't want this to go on forever, but what if this set was a Christmas gift or something? I was on the fence about this set, but now I definitely won't pick one up if there isn't a good price before the deadline.

Pretty sure their hoping after that date, new pressings of the set include the corrected disc.

Isn't this set a limited edition? I didn't think there were going to be additional pressings. And didn't Shout say that their Halloween license only goes through the end of year? In other words, this will probably be oop sooner rather than later. Besides, even if there were additional pressings, how would we ensure we weren't getting old stock? Are Anchor Bay/Shout doing a recall?

Sent my email for the Halloween 4 replacement last night. It wasn't a huge issue for me really but if they're offering a replacement might as well take advantage.
