Go ahead and buy it! That way the 4K set will be announced right after!

The F13 BD set is an amazing set. Honestly I really don't see the point of getting 4K for this series. Unless you really want 4K and had no interest in that mega set. But for me personally, that set was more than adequate and is now quite affordable.

I assumed a 4k set of this was coming. It still might, but I grabbed this when it was released anyway and now i can’t remember why. I had the tin BD set, but this had an exclusive something, but I forget.

yeah, but Vudu doesn’t have the third in 3D. Plus, the myriad of incredible extras. $80 is nothing for this set. Quite a great price for an amazing collection

I have the DVD if I ever lose my mind and want to watch 3 in 3D. You can try to keep a dying gimmick alive but there's a reason it's dying.

I wish I had the anaglyph DVD. (I can't enjoy the BD 3D presentation with my paleolithic set.)

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.

Anaglyph 3D looks like ass, and Part 3 is one of the most pointless movies to watch in 2D as there’s so many 3D gags in it.

I got it at $100 and don't regret it at all. I've had it for 3 years already.

Fingers crossed that the PSVR2 has (or will have?) Blu-ray 3D support, just like they patched in support on the PS3 and PS4. Not holding my breath or anything, but hopeful! I don't really care about "new" 3D movies, but I have a pretty sizeable stack of 3D BDs I've only ever watched flat or with anaglyph glasses.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when the Avatar sequel hits home video, even if 3D support on the PSVR2 is a purely digital download/streaming thing.

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.

Anyone here have the 4K release of the first movie? At the other forum, I can't seem to find a consensus on the picture quality. Some reviews say it looks fantastic while many say it is too dark.

Other reviews I have sought out kinda say both. That it looks great, but it is very dark. So, I was interested in any educated/owner opinions here. I doubt a complete 4K boxset will be on its way anytime soon.

Look at the caps: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&...198135&i=0&l=0

It's darker, but does looks like it is richer. It looks like sometimes you can't see trees that you could see on the Blu during night scenes.

Big missed opportunity to call it the Friday The 13th: The Perfect Nipple Placement Edition.

Don’t know why anyone would want that. I already have 2 of the Blu-ray which are identical content-wise, the original release and then the one in the box set.

Because it’s in UHD, has a bunch of new extras, etc.

You talk as if it won’t be buried on your floor someday under piles of old grocery bags, soda cans, and cat litter.

Perhaps that's precisely why Alan doesn't want it ...

Is it me or is this no longer showing up on Arrow?

It’s working now though. I went with Diabolik. I’m trying to curtail my Amazon purchases because… well… they suck lately.

I'll probably buy given the new extras.

But it’s simply a bad movie. If you like it then more power to you, but it was a sad excuse for a Friday the 13th movie. They at least should’ve called it something else.

Controversially, I think it’s one of the most effective slasher remakes and all-killer-no-filler, grabbing the best bits and bobs from four different F13 flicks with a distinct spin of its own.

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.

I went ahead and preordered this new Arrow 4k release through Amazon. I was always disappointed in the F13(2009) disc in the Scream Factory boxed set as its the exact same blu-ray that was first put out by Warner Bros. If it sells well maybe they'll release Freddy vs. Jason in 4k.
