The one nice thing with the new set is that it has digital copies. Still not worth picking up since I have the Scream Factory set.

Every so often on Friday the 13th Vudu will sell the set for 13 bucks, IIRC, which, if I DO actually recall correctly, was when I got it. I passed on the Shout set due to price, and never looked closely at what it offered. I regret that choice now.

ETA: JFC I had no idea how extensive that Shout set is. I might just have to bite the bullet yet again.

Did a quick scroll through my purchase history to verify. It was the 8-film collection, HDX, 13 bucks, on 3/13/2020, so it did at least happen. Seem to remember seeing that deal more than once.

Maybe I'll check every 13th of the month.

Oh damn.

Crap! (I finally bit at $109 a couple weeks ago ...)

Back up to $110 now.

The eventual drop in price is what motivated me to dive into the set last month instead of waiting to October when I'd be more inclined to check it out.

After owning all the movies on Blu-ray, except Jason goes to hell and Jason x, I finally broke down and bought the box set. A $100 was too good to pass up.

Vudu - Friday The 13th Weekend Sale

I just preordered the Universal Monsters 4k set. But $13 for the collection is tough to pass up.

i have them all, but that is a great price. would these be the Shout! transfers or just same ole? i don't know how any of this works...

don't know if they're the shout transfers. They look fine for HD streaming, IMO ...

Wait. I might just be super high, but I just figured out It’s 12.99 because that’s as close to $13 as you can be. Here I am for years thinking it’s just a good value when it hits this price for 8 movies and missing the point of the price.

Even though I have the Scream Factory box set I’m sort of tempted to pick the films up digitally too. $13 isn’t bad for the first eight.

For those who still haven't picked this up yet. The Shout Factory box set is only $79.99. I think that's the lowest price it's ever been. If you like the series and lots of bonus features, this is the one to get.

I bought it at $160 from Shout the day it was released. I really jumped the gun. But, I got bonus posters out of it from Shout

While I'd love to get this at that price (damn collector mentality I've curtailed), I had picked up the collection on VUDU for $13 (they do this every Friday the 13th) and I've yet to sit down to watch them.
