I was going to order the Umbrella one but glad I checked here. I might hold out for the Steelbook.

Will there be a standard 4K at Amazon?

Re: Dogma
One would think Lionsgate would have a bare bones standard version.... eventually. But I liked having new extras. Since I don't buy often anymore, I have the money to preorder the Umbrella release. I have the old DVD in a box somewhere so I didn't want to take a chance on Lionsgate.

Re: Dogma
The LL edition is supposedly going to have some features the Umbrella version will not have. This includes a 90-minute documentary. Umbrella is going to have the encoding/authoring done by Fidelity in Motion, so there's that selling point. It's also going to have a couple of other exclusives.

Actually you can't check the details on Lionsgate Limited yet. It's just a splash image.
Pre-orders live on 11/11
Anyone with any experience with launch time on these? Midnight EST? Completely random?

I hope it is not like Air Jordans where a bunch of bots take all the inventory at launch time.

Digital Bits is reporting that there will be a non-steelbook standard Amaray version of this also.

Re: Dogma
Now Umbrella has removed it from their site for USA. It's strictly an AUS release now. For those that already pre-ordered it Umbrella will fulfill those standing orders. Looks like the young lady who owns the distribution channels for release wants to make deals with individual territories and so forth.

I hate when shit like that happens. I guess I'm glad I got my pre-order in.

It was weird that there were two different/unrelated companies releasing the same movie.

Now that it's almost the 11th, I'm thinking of preordering Dogma along with Battle Royale. I really liked the job they did with The Descent. Not sure what time they'll open up preordering.

Yeah seen both also. Liked THE DESCENT and Battle Royale was ok, but I never thought I would own them. Being a steelbook and packed with some extras, made me get them along.

If you want just the standard
12/9/25
It seems a ton of new releases on that day

That's a pretty damn good cover. I went for the Steelbook, but that's definitely one of Smith's better cover arts.

Re: Dogma
Maybe buy the standard and keep the steelbook as a backup or collectable.
