Re: Dogma

In that video Kevin Smith said a company secured the rights he didn't say it was a movie studio. Maybe it would be a boutique label.

Re: Dogma

Just watched the Blu-ray last week with my teens. Told them they were seeing a movie most of their friends couldn't see.

I might consider a 4k upgrade if they do one. Not sure I need to see it in theaters though.

Re: Dogma

I saw him when he toured with Clerks III and it was fun. Would definitely do the same for Dogma.

Re: Dogma

Yeah I already saw this in theaters with a general audience when it came out and have seen other things in theaters with a more rabid Smith fanbase so I'd be good on that but I would pick up a 4k of Dogma. Have bought a few copies of the bluray at pawn shops over the years, flipping all but one.

Re: Dogma

The roadshow Q&A is showing near me. Debating at $50 or waiting for the 4K release.

His tour is surprisingly at a large AMC over in Kansas and not the local smaller theater he usually hits here in Kansas City. Slightly disappointed but I've seen him several times at San Diego Comic-con. So I don't feel I'm missing out. Just can't wait for the disc release.

Re: Dogma

Out here it's playing at the AMC at The Grove. Screw that noise. I will wait for the 4K disc.

Re: Dogma

I'm out of town when the road show is at the AMC just 5 minutes from my house, bummer.

Re: Dogma

I had the original Blu-ray but got rid of it before it was out of print and had some value. Never actually watched it or have seen it. Maybe I’ll rebuy the 4K.

The resale value went down if a new version comes out

Yeah, but I got rid of mine years ago. Probably over ten years ago by now.

Re: Dogma

Just posted on Facebook by the digital bits and Kevin Smith himself. Dogma will be released on 4k by Lionsgate and I'm guessing it'll be sometime this year.

If I had just sold the Blu-ray when it was still going for $80 on the secondary market, I could have afforded the inevitable $60 4K limited steelbook.

Re: Dogma

I just watched my Blu-ray a few months back so I don't 'need' it right away, but if it's limited I guess I'll be in. I hate dealing with ebay, so I guess I'll be holding on to my BD.

In case I miss the 4K, any guess where it might stream? Prime?

Re: Dogma

It should go to all streaming platforms to rent or purchase.

Wasn't talking about rent/purchase. Was only wondering which service would have regular streaming rights.

Re: Dogma

Yeah, it should be a real "Dogfight" to obtain it if it's Vinegar Syndrome releasing it.

Re: Dogma

Umbrella is releasing it in Australia and LL is releasing it here. The former will most likely have a chunky box and the LL will be a steelbook. I'll definitely consider the Umbrella version over the LL if that happens.
