There are some good titles on sale. Unfortunately, the only ones I really want are unavailable online and at my local stores.

It's worth checking in store as well. There is a new shipper stand that just went up this week. Kung Fu Panda 3 was showing unavailable in my area as well (and it's also sold out online) but I found two copies in store.

Amazon is price matching so you should check there as well.

I picked up a few more in store today for $10 each. X-Men: Apocalypse 3D, Assassin's Creed 3D, and Gods of Egypt 3D steelbook. I already had the 2D release of X-Men from BF last year, so hopefully I can sell that off and make up a little of the difference. I know both Gods of Egypt & Assassin's Creed got roasted in reviews, but I'm hoping they are a little fun in 3D.

I thought Gods Of Egypt was a lot of fun in 3D. It is what it is as a movie, but the depth really enhances the bright, CG-drenched spectacle. Assassin's Creed has a dreary color palette that, for me, worked against the 3D, but maybe it was a different experience in theaters?

The only title I was interested in was Kung Fu Panda 3 and according to BB online it wasn't available with 250+ miles. Despite being sold out, then available again, then sold out again... I just happen to check it tonight and found out it was available again. Decided I better go for it this time and ordered it. Supposed to get it by Nov 28.

anyone looking forward to this Cease Fire (3D) release? never got one of these old timey movies that were 3D. is the 3D really that good? this got a good review, but compared to some of our modern stuff which is technologically superior, i don't understand why the 3D is better in these older ones than newer ones...

Well what do you know... Best Buy comes thru. Just got my KFP 3 - 3D. It's almost like Black Friday came early.
Still wonder how a BB exclusive that was out of stock since it's original release, then back in stock, then out of stock again, then back in stock again within a few days... and wasn't within 250 miles, got here so quick.

Things were different during the 3D boom of the 1950s. Filmmakers then were very aggressive in throwing pop-out effects right into the audience's face.
It's not just about the technology, but the use of that technology.

It's not just the pop out effects, it's that they actually shot movies in the 50's using stereoscopic cameras. Nowadays the vast majority of what they call 3D is just shot flat & post converted by computer. While this can occasionally yield decent results, more often it doesn't. And never compares to some thing shot natively in 3D.

Well, what do you know (again)... just got an email notice from BB that my order of Kung Fu Panda 3 3D has shipped... 2 days after I received it.
Does Best Buy use temporal displacement shipping?

We finally got a chance to watch Wonder Woman 3D over the weekend and I thought it looked pretty good. I'm glad I stuck with that version over the 4K version that was on sale over the weekend, because I was tempted to return it due to the price difference.

For those who also ordered, I received a shipping notice from Amazon UK yesterday (Sunday) for the Terminator 2 3D edition. Nice to finally have it on the way.

If it's not, I am. Recent info I've seen pretty much confirms it's Region B, though.

It's time for me to go Region free. I ended up ordering Valerian 3D from UK, but it turns out it is region locked. I also got T2 on the way. But, at least Despicable Me 3 3D is region free (haven't watched yet).
Any suggestions for 3D region free blu-ray player? I don't need all the bells and whistles (wi-fi, apps) as I have Roku's or PS on all TV's for now. Price is an important factor right now.
Does it need to have Firmware updates that don't turn off the region free ability?
Also, where/what is everyone using for "active" 3D glasses? I need to get some more. I bought a 6 pack from Amazon awhile back, and 2 of them have broke. I was able to gorilla glue the stem back on one of them. But the other one is the battery lid, won't stay locked.
And, I need to get at least 1 pair that fits over eyeglasses.

There are quite a few modified brand name models available on Amazon. I purchased this Sony about a year ago and love it, although the price was briefly on sale for about $80 less at the time (so it might be worth checking at Camelx3.com to see if there's a pattern there). The reviews and (most of) the Q&A were big motivators. It does have bells and whistles, but I get by fine without using most of them:

That said, if you look in the "customers also viewed" section on that listing, you'll see several similar machines in the $150-$200 range. Considering the world of options going region-free opens up (even better with 3D), the prices are fair, and again, you might eventually spot a deal if you keep a few of them in your cart for a while.
I have quite a supply of passive glasses (got around 16 combined when I upgraded my home theater several years ago and they tossed in two boxes LG's overly-optimistic "3D Party" glasses, in addition to a bunch that came with the player already). I occasionally forget to toss the ones I get at the movie theater (which work just fine), but overall I've been using just two pair interchangeably for about 5 years now. Just realized that you're using the pricier active 3D glasses, though. I've seen those on Amazon Marketplace as well, but they could set you back . . .

Thanks for the info, I'll add some price watches on camel for various ones. Would like to get one for around $100.
And, yeah I just edited to clarify I'm looking for Active 3D glasses. I have a bunch of passive ones for my smaller TV upstairs.
