Thanks.... don't know why searching wouldn't turn them up for me. or at least Halloween 4 anyways.

Went ahead and preordered them. Between these and Shout, I'm gonna have a very nice HalloweeN marathon this october!

I'll probably get both of these once they hit about the $10 range or so. Halloween 4 is okay, 5 is pretty awful but I'll get it to complete the series eventually.

So, upon review, "The Making of Halloween 4: The Final Cut" featurette has been dropped from 4 and the "Inside Halloween 5" featurette from 5. Why?

At least AB put some special features on these releases. The upcoming Entity blu is completely bare bones.

The cover art is cool, using the original artwork. I'm not sure why the flames were added - I guess that suggests the inside of a Jack-O-Lantern? Better than the DIVX orange-tinted DVD covers.

It's certainly not the end of the world, and I've got a copy of 5 and so have that featurette. Nice to see the new commentaries - 5 total for the two films! I'm hoping these will drop to $14.99 or below by October.

Re: Halloween 4 and 5 - 8/21/12

I might... might be interested in 4 with the deleted/alternate scenes.

I'll pass on 5, though. The movie was a turd and there's nothing in the special features that interests me.

Looks like I'll probably be getting Scream's Halloween II and III blu-rays, and AB's Halloween 4.

The covers aren't bad but too bad they aren't doing double sided artwork like Shout! Factory is using for Halloween II and Halloween III. I'll probably buy them both eventually (even though 5 is a piece of crap).

So...since were getting some sweet editions of Halloween II-V, can (hoping against hope) get a Halloween VI (Curse) and VII (H20) with sweet special features and don't look like crap?

I'll buy 'em both. No way I can have gaps in my Halloween BD collection. As bad as 5 is, I have a soft spot for it for some reason.

Nice features listeed on both, really interested in seeing the deleted/alt footage from 4. Too bad AB didn't want to do Horror's Hallowed Grounds episodes for both even though they were offered them. Bastards.

I feel the same way about 5.

I love watching the Horror's Hallowed Grounds episodes! I wonder why AB passed on them. Could they have been asking too much for them?

I don't know how long Echo Bridge has the rights to the old Miramax/Dimension catalog. But I can only hope once that expires someone like Shout will rush in a swoop it up. It's a shame what has happened to some of those titles. Plenty of market exploiting left to do with a lot of the Dimension films with all the alt/director's cut that exist.

God dammit, you guys. It's our faults, don't you see? Remember when we would constantly complain about year after year of double dips? Now this is what it has come to. We get nothing.

In all seriousness, you don't know what you have 'til it's gone, I guess.

Apparently the Audio Commentary with Writer Alan B. McElroy has been dropped from Halloween 4.

I miss old school home video releases in general-- before the advent of Blu ray. (which is not to say I dislike Blu ray. I'm just saying extras were more plentiful back then.)

yes, and I had to sit through it in the theater, at least one patron was yelling at the screen making the film at least entertaining as a comedy... you couldn't pay me to endure it again.

Re: Halloween 4 and 5 - 8/21/12

There's some pending litigation with him regarding the film (or so I've been told), so they just decided to drop the track. Ditto on the director commentary for part 5. AB simply does not give a fuck, and they have no clue what they're doing anymore (like we didn't already know that).

That's been dropped as well? Lame. Considering AB averages roughly 1.7 Blu-rays per year, you'd think they'd make more of an effort on the titles they actually do release.
