Same here. Never pre-ordered the blu because I was waiting to see reviews. Sucks when this happens with an eagerly-awaited release.

All of you guys just ordering the DVD: Why not go further and demand action from those responsible for this mess? Aren't you the least bit insulted from the obvious cash-grab? Shame on Elite. Shame on Ted. Who did they think were going to be purchasing this movie? Joe Six pack 'I don't care about PQ'? The 'Deadly Spawn' alien should burst out and gobble up Elite for such radiant incompetence.

I feel sorry for that German girl on the 'other forum' who ordered 35 copies! Hope she sends them all back to send a message.

Unfortunately, as I purchased my copy on Ebay directly from the producer, it looks like I'm out the full 53 bucks. I could try reselling it on Ebay to recoup some of my losses, but I'd feel like a heel trying to con someone else into buying it, and I'm sure once word of mouth gets out my copy will be essentially worthless.

Realistically, nothing will happen. Ordering the DVD instead of the BR is the action we're taking that will get the most notice.

Maybe in a few years they'll redo it but we'll be stuck with this edition until then.

Yes, by the producer. I sent him an irritated email, but I'm probably stuck with it.

Just got the blu ray in today. Read the reviews prior to opening it, already filed for a refund at Amazon and ordered one of the last few copies of the dvd in stock.

For the better anyways, the blu ray arrived with the disc loose, I could hear it rattling around in there. Didn't even open it though.

what you're probably hearing is the insert rattling around in the case - not the disc itself.

I felt somewhat burned when I ordered a signed copy of Nail Gun Massacre. It was full screen and then a few months later Synapse put out a widescreen version.

Sure glad I stuck with my DVD... too bad though, especially for everyone that may be screwed with a disastrous release.

Probably not.... for some reason, this disc pops out super easy. Mine was lose upon arrival and popped out once again already.

At the very least, we know not to pre-order a damn thing from Elite without looking at reviews first.

This at least gives me some hope that a proper release may happen. Yes, I want to give my money to the Producer of one of my favorite 'fun' 80s films, but only if the job is well-done.
