"For you number crunchers, the average video bitrate for the AVC-encoded video is 13.6 Mbps. The feature + audio + commentary (just one for this disc) only takes up a little over 9 gigs."

Noir if you're going to quote a blu-ray.com quote you might want to post all of it:
I'm not liking this.

(Blu-ray top, DVD bottom. Blu-ray actual size, DVD upscaled to match; cropped to focus on clock.)
According to Wtf-Film, who's going through the disc and giving updates on Facebook:

Expecting full-res screencaps from Wtf-Film soon. But judging by that image of the clock, the DVD not only has more grain and detail, but it even appears to be compressed better. (Wtf-Film: "It is.") What.the.f***.
Sorry, Ted, but I'm saving my money and sticking to the Synapse DVD.
Looking forward to the comics and movie sequel, though.
Edit: And here are some caps https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...0057198&type=3
(Click "Download" to view them full-sized.)
Concerned about 'em being on Facebook which compresses the hell out of images? Wtf-Film says, "Even Facebook's compression can't make these look worse." Oy!
This is so f***ing ugly:

I hope this isn't representative of what's to come from Elite Blu-rays in the future.
Good gravy, Ted! Pull the license from Elite somehow and give that sh*t back to Don May! ;p

Can't even begin to say how pissed I am. Really, another great B-film completely ruined by complete ineptness, sheer stupidity during the authoring process.
An insult to the fans, Ted really screwed up licensing this to Elite.
Glad I DID NOT order this. What a screw-job.
Want to throw us another bone, Elite? No, empatically, no. I'm done forever with that company after this fiasco.

Now, I'm sure a proper release is out of the question, of course.

Last I remember, Giles, Anchor Bay had the rights to reanimator.
and fuck, I wish I would've held off on buying this disc now. can't believe the DVD looks so much better.

Elite had the rights, then Anchor Bay got them and released a dvd of Re-Animator... I think AB still has them but I don't know anymore. I just hope they license it out to someone that knows what they're doing.

Same here. Normally I'd say it isn't worth the hassle but I just ordered the DVD to replace the BR that's arriving today.
