I know what scene you're talking about but regarding the bold part what are you talking about?

Both the line and the way Vader spoke it: "Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival".

It just sounds so fake-dramatic and something you would expect to hear in a commercial about Star Wars hocking some product for it or something. Or from one of those endless Spike TV commercials both spoofing and promoting the endless broadcasts of the movies. It's silly.

Actually it sounds just like the rest of the lines but unlike every other Vader line it wasn't burned into the Vader Soundboard in every "Star Wars" fan's brain for 14-20 years like all the other lines.

The fact that people are still complaining about it 14 years later is pretty hilarious and absurd.

For the so-called record, "Nooooo!!!" scream being an exception, nothing in "Revenge of The Sith" sounds out of the ordinary and those were newly-recorded lines, unlike that line from "Empire" which apparently was a deleted line from the original "Star Wars" film. I don't have the Sith film's Vader lines burned into anything since I pretty much don't even acknowledge those movies even exist for the most part, and they still don't stand out as odd.

Whatever, man. Whatever.

Vader growling "Bring my shuttle!" was way better... And who says "my Star Destroyer?" Would've been cool if he had called it by name...The Executer, right? Sorry, star wars nerd here...

No question. One of the more clumsy and awkward changes... especially since it's painfully obvious the landing is an alternate Jedi shot - could they not at least film some ILM employees and put em in there? It was one of the prequel problems - too many scenes of characters landing/taking off, as if we wouldn't have been able to figure it out had he not shown us.

re: Star Wars

720p preview scenes from the six movies. Last three are worth checking out:
- ANH opening.
- ESB duel.
- Luke fights Jabba's guards.

Vader's ESB saber looks like a darker red.

What struck me is the absence of the Little Shop of Horrors "head" from the Sarlacc.

re: Star Wars

What's up with that glowing blue light shimmer at the 33-36 second mark? has that always been there?

re: Star Wars

I think that blue shimmer is supposed to be lens flare cause by the rockets of the Star Destroyer. But I don't recall if it was always there. I only have the OT on VHS and my player died years ago.

re: Star Wars

The 'blue shimmer' was added either for the 97 SE or the 04 DVD, most likely the latter. They also de-emphasized the lens flares of the engines since they were much brighter originally.

re: Star Wars

Sounds like a decent amount of deleted scenes... especially for a lot of stuff from Ep2 that never made the DVD like "the lost twenty" and the Geonosis stuff.

Not sure if the scene where Luke is watching the Star Destroyer vs Blockade Runner battle through binoculars is on the list, unless it's part of "Tosche Station."

TFN forum member "digitalfreaknyc" posted the full list of bonus content on our Blu-ray thread yesterday. He told me that the information was on a spec sheet from Korea that he received from "a friend who works in the home video industry."
Wow, didn't know he posted at TFN.

Will take some time to look over the deleted scenes list.

Am I crazy or is the blue tint on the interior corridors of the Tantive IV gone or at least reduced?

Maybve we'll get white snow on Hoth if so.

re: Star Wars

I just found out about Star Wars coming to Blu-ray and I don't want to read through all 67 pages of this thread, but are the Blu-rays of the original trilogy going to have the original versions, the 97 special editions, or the 04 version with changes like when Luke sees the ghosts at the end of ROTJ he sees Hayden Christensen?

re: Star Wars

I'm guessing new cuts. 99% will probably be the '04 cuts, but Lucas has probably snuck in a few extra changes.
