I'm really surprised at all the hate Parts II and III get. I mean the original is a classic but some of you people act as though the sequels are the worst piles of garbage ever produced. I'd personally put Part II at the same level as the original, if not higher (I go back and forth constantly which one I like more). Part III really isn't that bad either a slight step down from the first two but still watchable and better than a lot of crap out there. I also don't really understand how some of you would want to own the first two and not the third. I mean the third film completes it without it Part II just kinda ends with no resolution.

Re: "Back To The Future" on Blu! (10-26-2010)
I prefer III over I, so take that
Perhaps it's because II & III were the first I saw theatrically, but I love how Dr. Brown-centric III is. Cmon, Brown/Lloyd MAKE those films and #3 features more of him than any other film. It also takes the concept from the first film (the changing photograph) and shows that time is not written, thus wrapping up the films in a nice bow in the final scene where Marty is racing and decides to hit the brakes.
That said #2 is probably my favorite film of all time. I love that it shows the conflicts with playing with the timeline that no other 'time travel' film before it did before. It's just too bad they fucked up THE SOUND OF THUNDER so bad... that story and the concept itself had some real promise and the sad fact is that The Simpsons did it better

Re: "Back To The Future" on Blu! (10-26-2010)
Growing up I disliked Part III, but mainly because I didn't care about the Old West time period. But now I've come to really like Part III, maybe even more than Part II. When they were showing the movies on ABC Family a couple of weeks ago, I watched them practically the entire weekend, having it on anytime I was home. I ended up seeing Part III more than the rest and started to see what that movie was a good show of character development. As mentioned before, it's a great Doc Brown-centric movie, giving us more insight into him. Then seeing how Marty had to learn to stop giving in anytime someone called him "chicken" (or "yellow", etc.). He didn't have to prove himself. Doc Brown became more vulnerable (through finding his love interest) and Marty matured. It's really a great movie that ties up there characters, where the other two focused a lot more on just the time travel, the consequences of it, and fixing the problems they made. And besides, I love seeing all the references to part III in part II (i.e. Doc's Hawaiian shirt, his mention of his favorite time period, and the Clint Eastwood movie that Biff is watching in Alt 1985).

Wonder if they'll include the Brokeback to the Future trailer

I wonder if they are going to fix this part and how did the director not notice this?

I think it's funny that, when they were released theatrically, Part II was savaged by critics as being nothing more than a shameless placeholder and set-up for another sequel (the same complaints leveled against The Empire Strikes Back, incidentally). Then Part III was rapturously embraced by those same critics for having a "real ending." It's interesting how the tide has turned in public opinion on those two movies.

Re: "Back To The Future" on Blu! (10-26-2010)
I think BTTF II & III are good sequels, but the original is a classic, which I have probably watched a zillion times. I think BTTF II is a very underrated sequel, as the story is so simple it is pure genius! If anyone of us had a time machine, what would we do? Buy a sports encyclopedia and go back and make bets on all of those games and become a millionaire!
BTTF III is a good sequel, but all the stuff that it tries to copy from I & II start to get old at that point. You have the typical chase with Marty and Biff (or Griff in 1880's), you have Marty waking up to Lea Thompson as she announces what year it is, etc.
But I will say this is one of the best written trilogy in terms of continuity and very few plot holes for a trilogy that wasn't planned out from the start. You could go through the Star Wars movies and find plot hole after plot hole (even though Lucas says it was all planned), but Bob Gale and Zemeckis were pretty conscious about writing a consistent story.
I always wondered why didn't Marty's original girlfriend be a part of II & III?

If you look at the kid's face rather than his dick-pointing it seems pretty obvious. That said, it's hard not to notice someone gesturing at their junk.I believe there were personal problems that interrupted, and she was maybe quitting acting?

that was an awesome video and must admit I laughed out loud.....strangely, I found humor in a young child pointing towards his unit.

If Crispin Glover hadn't wanted paid the same as Michael J. Fox (or, if rumors are true, even more than Michael), I'm guessing the sequels might have been much better than they already are...Glover's non-involvement pretty much dictated where the storyline would go (especially for Part II).

$50 is tempting, but you just know this one is going to be $39 or less on Black Friday.

It's still 3 months from release, so who's to say it would not be $40 during release somewhere most likely? And during Black Friday it might be a lightning deal sometime during the week for say $35 even. Not unrealistic at all to think that.
