Just waiting for the whiners to complain about wanting each individually
Anyway, great news on the set. Sounds like it'll be done right the first time.

My God. Ironically 25 years to the day that Marty went back in time. Awesome, awesome news. Can't wait.
I love this part (from BTTF.com)
Never thought I'd ever see any Stoltz footage ever. This is amazing.

And since everyone wants to know, there are three very brief snippets of Eric Stoltz incorporated into one of the documentaries.” You heard it here first — finally, film footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly!!

Did you travel to the future at some point in time and find out that a better visual presentation would come along so you held off from seeing them in the first place? I don't give a rat's ass if these movies were coming through on my 13" B&W set I had when I was a kid as I would be watching them.

Gale vouches for them.
“The HD transfers for all three films are simply breath-taking,” Gale told BTTF.com. “They actually look better than they did in the theater because of the incredible job that was done on dirt clean-up. (And the film grain is preserved, so they still look like movies should look.) And hearing the sound in full dynamic range is — okay, I’ll say it — a blast!”

Yeah. You're right.
You may have got more pigeonholed, and you would've been tied down for sequels too.
I would've been unable to walk down the street! It's a whole different life. I was lucky in that way.
So tell me, is missing out on "Back to the Future" a sore spot though?
You know, it was twenty-something years ago and I rarely look back, if at all, but in retrospect, I think just getting through that difficult period helped me realise how freeing it really was. I went back to acting school, I moved to Europe, I did some plays in New York and I actually invested in... [pause] ...myself in a way that was much healthier for me. If I had become a massive star, I don't know if I wouldn't have gone into therapy. On the other hand, I would've been exceedingly rich which would've been wonderful! [laughs]

I never thought about the date! That's awesome! I wonder if Universal did that deliberately or if it was just "an amazing coincidence"

It wasn't just a coincidence. This date had been planned for sometime...unless another Trilogy of films moved into the last week of October. But with BTTF now dated, that'll no doubt now come out 2-3 weeks later as to not squander either Trilogies sales. Wonder where Aliens will fit in. If studios learned anything in the past few years, is don't put all your biggies out at once - especially on Blu-ray and when they are high priced.

I'm going to bet that the framing on BTTF2 is going to be just fine, considering that the issue was fixed well over 7 years ago, and that it was a lesson learned for a new set/transfer.

I may have imagined this, but I think I read that this sequence is what ultimately became the 'nuke the fridge' scene in Indy IV.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that "Enchantment Under the Sea Revisited" is not going to be included, but...it's something everyone should see if they haven't yet. Here it is:

You're not far off. The first draft of BTTF originally had the time machine as a refrigerator. Given Spielberg's involvement in both series it wouldn't surprise me if the "nuke the fridge" scene was implemented from the earliest draft of the first film.
