Wow. I don't know what to think. I mean, ultimately, I just want the films and bonus features on Blu-ray... but the packaging and extras for the UK Tin Edition seem pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing the video.

Yeah, the case blows. I'll just stick them in a UK 3 Disc Amray case as it should be about the same size.

I decided to get the set. After seeing how those are held, I'm expecting at least 1 disc to either be covered in finger prints or be scratched.
And yes, it is a myth that BDs don't scratch. They certainly do. I've encountered several in the past and it usually happens with box sets. Hopefully I'm okay this time.

What I don't understand is why the need to change how the discs are housed. 99% of the time, a simple button/hub is used and that seems to work fine. Why not just stick with what works?

That UK tin is really tempting - especially since up here in Canada the regular set is going to cost about $60 after tax - which is nearly the same as the UK set (unless customs has their way with it). Not sure if I can wait the extra few weeks but might have to go that route.

Seriously debating about ordering the UK set...it'll be my first import. Anyone have an idea how long it usually takes to ship to the US (FL to be exact...)
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had been going to say, everyone was citing "The Office" Season 6, and I went and looked at mine and it just uses the overlapping hub, where the disc hub in the center overlaps with the disc in the lower tray. Easy to remove the discs. I thought people were really making a big deal out of nothing. Now that I can see that photo, I can say my "Office" set is nothing like that. That looks a little more complex.

My BTTF Trilogy Blu-ray (and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2) are out for delivery! Thanks again Amazon Prime. You never let me down when it comes to getting things early

I have just received my tin and the lenticular picture is probably one of the best things I ever got from a limited edition. It's the best thing in the tin for sure!
The old 1855 picture does indeed look like a screen grab. Very pixallated The almanac is kinda lame because it had to fit the tin. The USA Today front pages have the different headlines on either side.
I am glad I went for this set as it's a nice edition next to my Japanese LE.

Most of the time when I order from Amazon UK, it ships nearly right away (last time was the day after I ordered) and arrives in 4-5 business days. I live in Iowa.

Too bad this didn't get reported sooner, because I would have purchased the US set if I knew it had hubs. I still like the UK set more, but the original BTTF is just a personal favorite/classic of mine and I'm probably looking forward to seeing that more than anything else in either this set or the Aliens set.
Instead I'll be waiting about 10 days. At least I have a lot of blus that I still need to catch up on watching.

Re: "Back To The Future" on Blu! (10-26-2010)
EDIT: given that there is no hub, why do you have to push the disc down towards the clips? Based on the photo, you could push it up, and it would align with the digital copy disc and should be removable...

You need to post pictures of your "The Office" BD, because that style packaging is exactly how everybody else's BD of "The Office" Season 6 (NOT Season 5) looks.

I am still on the fence since I still have my DVDs and can wait for price drop on the US edition, but I am a sucker for extras. So it all come downs to how it's packaged and if it plays ALL the contents.
