Some of the extras a few bits with Stoltz as Marty. Hopefully the dvds will have the dialogue as well.

So any word of US exclusives to look out for? If there aren't, and the UK Blu has no PAL stuff I may spring for the UK set. I guess it's too early for anyone to confirm that there is no PAL stuff on the UK discs, eh?

Unfortunately a so so quick review.... Stoltz footage that's out there is all there is, too much DNR'd pic quality, and the packaging looks even worse than I imagined.

Terrible packaging. I'm not a fan of DNR, but Universal's track record with rereleasing these makes me inclined to pick them up rather than waiting

Looks like the same poor packaging that season 6 of The Office and season 5 of House had. I don't mind digipaks though, it's just annoying, given that all of Universal's other box sets have individual keep cases.

Wow Universal.. One of your biggest franchises and you totally blow it with the packaging. Seriously they couldn't have come up with something better?? Glad I opted for the UK version I wouldn't pay $50 for that crap.

That packaging is beyond cheap. It's not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza box cheap, but it's still very disappointing.

Am I just seeing it wrong or is it that clear that it's the push and slide style?

And I come to places like this where I learned about how to push down on the top disc and how it will basically pop loose with no chance of damage.
People who get this will break or scratch their discs. Heck, I'm thinking it may happen to be one day and, like most people here, I'm ultra careful about caring for my discs.

I don't mind them normally but its so boring and cheap looking. From the picture it looks like all the packaging consists of is a clear digipack with no artwork whatsoever and a slipcover. Add to that the fact that Universal always has to use that ugly ass disc label that is pretty much all one color with no graphics or anything. The set is just plain and not pleasing to look at. Not to mention the stacking of discs.
At this point I think they are my least favorite company when it comes to releasing discs. They barely have any decent catalog titles out and when they get some out they always manage to drop the ball in some aspect of a release big time. It just seems like they don't even care about the product they put out and are just looking for a quick cash grab. A shame as a release like this should be given much better treatment.

The set is probably a solid release for the most part, but these latest negatives may have just been enough for me to postpone a purchase this yr. Maybe next spring we'll either have a good sale, or word on possible separate releases - of course, they'll probably be flippers!

Now people are complaining about the packaging?

What's next? Bad shrink wrapping? The discs were turned upside down so the logo didn't look right when I opened the box?

Re: "Back To The Future" on Blu! (10-26-2010)
It's different to talk about the artwork or how flimsy the box is to these digipaks where the discs are "locked" in and have to be bent a little and then you need to slide them a bit to get them back in place.
I have a difficult time believing anyone is a fan of these and if you say it's no big deal, I think you're just trying to rip people for having an genuine problem with genuinely poorly designed cases.
I don't believe I've ever seen someone make a case that they liked these newly designed digis over the ones where you had a hub in the middle and merely needed to pull the disc up carefully and push the disc back down carefully. I wouldn't have made a peep had it been the old design. These new ones are sh*tty and I hope people make a fuss, if for no other reason than to hopefully get them to go back to the old design when they do release anything else in digipaks.
