This is recurring theme, I love...
Love it!! I think I’ve seen the name. He should be more recognized like Horner or Zimmer. The Terminator is iconic!

True Lies and The Abyss (extended and regular cut) both recently aired on HBO less than 6 months ago and both have fine HD transfers.

James Cameron offers an update on his new scan/ and subsequent physical release of “The Abyss”
Cameron: “Yeah, we finished the transfer and I wanted to do it myself because Mikael [Salomon] did such a beautiful job with the cinematography on that film. It is truly, truly gorgeous cinematography. [...] So I just recently finished the high-def transfer a couple of months ago so presumably there’ll be Blu-rays and it will stream with a proper transfer from now on. I appreciate what you said about the film. It didn’t make much money in its day, but it does seem to be well-liked over time.”

Well-liked? Are you kidding me Mr. Cameron? There are people out here who would climb over all their fellow humans and step on each head to get to the front of the line to buy this on BD...

I wonder if that’s what has taken so long - his perception that it’s not a fan favorite so he didn’t bother giving it any attention?

And now, it’s (eventual) BD release won’t even make a blip on the release charts. Great job, Cameron.

Since he’s only mentioning The Abyss I’m guessing he’s trying to pretend True Lies doesn’t exist anymore.

A lot of what GeekGab posts is from international retailers, which is the case here. (The second screenshot in that tweet is a translated version of this link.)

Yeah, I don't follow Twitter much but everything I've read about GeekGab is that they'll use basically anything as a source to try to be "first" to break release details and if they're right, they're right; if they're wrong, they can always go back and delete the tweet....kind of the broken clock is right two times a day mentality.
