I found a listing of the bluray on Amazon in Spain sold by Amazon and that's what I bought.

I have that too. It’s a serviceable release. I’d definitely buy an official version if it was ever released.

So are they skipping blu-ray and going straight to 4K?

They're not doing anything. This isn't really happening.

True Lies is the best non-James Bond spy movie and I still will need to hold on to my laserdisc.

I sure as hell hope so. Better be the Director's Cut, too.

That was from three months ago. Nothing has been confirmed yet.
Until Cameron himself is heard and recorded saying that and the disc is in someone’s hands it means nothing.

Yeah it's March tomorrow and so far, no press release of any kind. They would have put out a press release by now if it was coming out this month.

Damn it's great to watch True Lies again. My copy arrived today and I'd agree it's a serviceable release. If we ever get an official 4k I'd gladly buy it as well.

There won't be an announcement until maybe April. When I was getting my tickets for the films I'm seeing in theaters this month Avatar 2 will still be playing on 2-3 screens throughout the month. It's not going anywhere yet.

I can't believe there are people dumb enough to believe that Cameron will even allow Avatar: Way Of The Water to ever be released on any home video format.

What? Why would you even say that?

Cameron’s producer answering Bill Hunt’s question about physical releases.

That's something. The only thing I'm interested in at this point is The Abyss and even that isn't super high on my list.

Re: Cameron Talks Avatar Redux, 3D, Titanic, Abyss/True Lies Blu-ray

I want True Lies on BD if/when it does come out. The Abyss is a great film but I am not sure I would watch it enough to need to own it. I have cut down on movie/TV show buying and have sold most of my collection off just keeping the essentials. No interest in Titanic or the Avatars.

Great news, guys! James Cameron himself says that The Abyss remaster is ready to go and will definitely be released on Blu-ray in early 2017.

Fuck Cameron. Ofc his movies make bank, but his holier than thou attitude is freaking annoying. I’m not sure how his head fits through any door.
