I've own this in atleast 6 edtions: twice on VHS and 4 times on DVD. None are what I consider great (the closest being the HKL). I hope this one will replace them all.

Sounds good so far as long as we don't get dub-titles.

Ugh, the extended version better be on a separate disc or only by seamless branching. The footage is notably in worse condition than the final cut, and many would argue was rightfully excised by Woo.

Re: The Killer ---> 3/30/2010
DD updated the Facebook page saying that their version of The Killer will be the John Woo approved cut found on the Criterion DVD--which I'm assuming is just the regular cut. No mention of the extended cut anywhere so I guess that was just a rumor.

I still believe that I have seen a completely different version of this movie on Cinemaxe's Vanguard Cinema where
But.... everyone I know that has seen this has told me I am mistaken. So I must be. Still it is one of those vivid memories that I have convince myself I saw. Is there any version where the angle is a little different maybe that is what is what I remember.

Yikes. The combing is pretty apparent even in those screenshots. DD is such a joke of a company now it's annoying.
The only reason why the Five Deadly Venoms DVD ended up looking so good, is because they copy/pasted the Celestial Master that was out in HK R3 before.
DRAGON DYNASTY STRIKES AGAIN!!!

WTF is wrong with them??? They are releasing products on Blu-ray when they don't seem to know how to transfer a movie into HD. Go bankrupt already DD, please, the sooner the better.

That sucks I just cancelled my pre-order. I guess I will wait until a better version comes out overseas.

This is a great movie, but I would prefer a Mandarin audio and Chinese subtitle. Candonese is a local language in China, don't know why they keep puting this on.

It is a HK film, and Cantonese is prevalent in HK. If it were a mainland film there would be a Mandarin track.

Trust me, Chinese ditributors treat their films worst than western distibutors do. At best, we'll get a BD from Fortune Star with an upscaled transfer and shitty 7.1 remixes that will make DD's disc look and sound like gold.
