Both are actually out already. I don’t own them so not sure how they are but you can get them on Blu-ray.

Maybe that was the point I wasn't getting.
Either that or the fact I wasn't 12 when it was released.

It was the mid-80s. Everyone who was cool wore sunglasses all the time.

I did a disc to digital conversion of the old double feature dvd on Vudu, so I have no desire to get the barebones blurays out now. Since Shout has gotten into the Universal catalog I think both problem child movies would be a good release for them.

More titles now listed at Shout that I wish Kino had picked up instead, as well as some titles with bonus features now added:

LEGEND OF THE 7 GOLDEN VAMPIRES (1974)
Includes both versions of the film

THE BRAIN (1988)
https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7038

GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE (1972)
https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7037
Just watched this in Retromedia’s Morella’s Blood Flood collection, so presumably Shout found much better source materials? Mind you, $25 list for this is ridiculous.

THE BORIS KARLOFF / BELA LUGOSI COLLECTION
Includes The Black Cat (1934), The Raven, The Invisible Ray and Black Friday.

THE MANITOU (1978)
https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7034

WARNING SIGN (1985)
https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7010

BORN IN EAST L.A.- COLLECTOR’S EDITION (1987)

Since Born In East L.A is a collector's edition, I have hope that the TV cut will be included and hopefully in HD!! I remembered being shocked when I rented the VHS and the entire ending was trimmed down from what I saw on TV. I can't believe the ending in the theatrical version was gutted the way it was.

Looking forward to the release of Willard. Already have it pre-ordered through Amazon. It has one of my favorite performances by Crispin Glover.

The Howling III: The Marsupials turned out pretty nicely. Solid film transfer and a couple of new special features, obliterating the poor version found on the old Timeless Media Trilogy Blu-ray. Cheesy fun if you like the idea of werewolves loose in Australia.

Well I went to my favorite local place that sells Shout blurays looking for Cobra and walked out with Silent Night Deadly Night 2. I got it for $21.99 at regular price which seems pretty good since prices have seem to have gone up on Shout blurays.

I got the new 10 to Midnight BD, which came in the mail yesterday. Went through some of the extras. I liked the interview with Andrew Stevens. He said that Bronson was very quiet and kept to himself most of the time off camera.

I re-watched it streaming a few years ago, so it's still relatively fresh in my mind. I'm hoping to watch it with the Paul Talbot commentary, who is apparently a major Bronson historian and wrote 2 books about him.

I'm glad to see they decided to give Screamers the proper WS BD upgrade. Some might say there was a WS version available on DVD but the only version I've ever seen is full screen. I'll be anxious to pick this up when the time is right.

Was hoping for more on that Streetfighter set. Even a commentary on one of them would've been nice, just for historical background/context. The interview with Jack Sholder is apropos; he designed the titles on the first film, but maybe he's got behind-the-scenes info beyond that.

Pretty much cutting and pasting from Shout's site and/or their Twitter feed, but it is nice to have it all grouped together once in a while.

Well I can say after watching Silent Night Deadly Night 2, its just Billy's Brother rehashing the events of the first movie. Are the other sequels any different, and will Shout get a hold of those movies to release through their label?

^ Yep which is why it's not the good bad movie and other than the whole "GARBAGE DAY!" line and his rampage thereafter, it's not very memorable.

Which sucks times 2, because the first one is a terrible movie. Devoid even of any kind of camp value.

Silent Night Deadly Night isn't a bad movie its just really sleazy and I feel like I have to take a shower after watching it.

Eh I kinda like both of them to be honest. Overall I actually like the Billy character more but the first film is better. The sequel is odd in that it’s largely a rehash of the first though.
