1:42:46 is the length. I know it's the uncut version. It's just kind of crazy, since all of the reviews online are basically saying that I own something that doesn't exist lol

Sorry to break it to you, but you have the rated version. I just checked my copy of the original disc (not one that came with Saw VI) and the runtime on it is 1:42:46 (per my Blu-ray Disc Drive).

Actually, no. YOU have the uncut version. Easy way to prove it, too.

"The song "Bite The Hand That Bleeds" by Fear Factory that originally played over the end credits has been replaced on the uncut version of the film on DVD by an original piece of music by Charlie Clouser entitled "Zepp Overature"

Or check the scene where Amanda is going through the guts. You see her dead cellmates stomach in the uncut version.

Now check your disc and you'll see that I'm right.

Also:
The SAW blu-ray was supposed to be the theatrical version of the film but during manufacturing the uncut version of the film was somehow put onto the disc instead of the theatrical cut, so now all the SAW 1 blu-rays are the uncut versions.

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

I bet a lot of the reviewers never even watched the Saw disc. They reviewed Saw VI, saw the Saw disc labeled R-rated and reported it was the same.

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

Then I stand corrected.

Edit: Meant to say that I had yet to watch the BD. Watched the uncut DVD years ago.

Everything about the disc is identical - trailers, previws, shitty menu. Pretty (good) fuck-up by LG. If they would have advertised it, they might have gotten more sales.

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

So is the Saw I that came out originally also the Uncut version if it has the 1:42:46 running time? I doubt all the original reviewers "never even watched the disc" and they all said it was the R-rated. Did they just not know the differences and believed what was on the box?

I bet 99.9% of us wouldn't know the difference if we watched both cuts back to back.

Yeah, I read that the uncut version is something like 8 seconds longer.

According to dvdcompare.net, the US Uncut is actually 16 seconds shorter. It includes extra gore, but trims a couple of scenes down. The international Uncut version keeps the scenes intact so that it has a longer running time.

This.

The reviewers didn't know the changes/movie well enough and just believed the rating that was slapped on the box.

Differences between the R and unrated. http://movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=2176

I have the saw BD and Uncut Saw DVD. I just put all 3 together in a 3 disc BD case until a proper BD is released for the first film.

Sounds like you're in the perfect position to do a comparison. We'll expect a report ASAP!

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

Just pulled out my original R-rated DVD, Uncut DVD, and the free with Saw VI blu. Losing My Mind is on the money - its 100% not the R-rated version.

One question though - as there is also the international uncut version that doesn't have the Director's trims, does the fact that the blu has cut Lawrence's "I wouldn't lie to you" line at the end nail this as the US Uncut Version, as presumably the international uncut retains this line?

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

Sure enuff... the crappy white labeled version w/ Saw VI does appear to be the uncut version. I only scanned a few seconds of the film but it does have the part where Amanda sorts through the guts and stomach which are absent in the stand alone release of SAW blu. Glad I got it back in scratch free form and will give away the DVD copy since I dont watch the extras. Still would like a PROPER remastered version of the uncut one and special features.

I'm sure you'll get it - eventually. I'm expecting them to launch "Saw Ultimate Editions" anytime - starting with the first, with lossless audio and the missing DVD special features etc etc

Re: Saw VI BD - January 2010

This is very strange. The SAW BD has been out for nearly four years, yet there are barely any comments on the internet about it being the uncut version. I wouldn't have thought anything about it, had I not seen numerous comments on here, over the years, regarding the displeasure of the uncut version not being available on BD. It's kind of funny that what a lot of people wanted was there all along.

The original release on Blu with the severed foot on the label is R rated. The free copy that was included with Saw VI w/ the boring white label is the Unrated cut.

The producers of all these Saw releases are evil, evil men.

I heard that they used actual blood in the dye process, guaranteeing that Xage must buy one from each pressing to stay complete.

That doesn't seem right. If that's correct, than the disc included with SAW VI is from a brand new pressing. A disc made in 2010, or 2009 wouldn't include the voice over by some woman on the main menu. It's too primitive.

Do you have the original BD?
