It appears WB will be releasing a new 30th Anniversary edition this year. Zach Galligan tweeted this on January 7:

It's too bad Best Buy won't be carrying Blu-ray at all by the time it comes out - they'd have at least one guaranteed sale!

If that does happen I wont have any reason to set foot in a Best Buy ever again. I will buy most of my stuff online, and Walmart & Target do a good job of stocking movies in store. Of course this new gremlins disc is being planned when I just got the 3 pack blu with Gremlins 2 and Goonies for 12.99 at Target over christmas. Will wait and see if they do anything worthwhile for the disc to consider a purchase.
