December's always been light - sometimes they have just one or two for the month.

Will probably be random. Nothing will beat The Devil's Backbone being # 666.

Also: Heavy rumor that the flash sale will be this week. Keep eyes open!

I fucking LOVE the Notorious cover...

It'll be my 3rd or 4th time buying this movie, but I don't care, it's one of my favorites!

Stoked for Notorious and Mikey & Nicky. Hopefully Husbands and Minnie & Moskowitz aren't far behind. (I know M&N is an Elaine May film, but it feels like a Cassavetes original.)

I will keep buying Notorious no matter how many times it gets re-released. That cover is amazing. I'm super excited for In The Heat of the Night too.

Via Criterion on Facebook

We have some sad news to share: FilmStruck will discontinue service on 11/29/18. We’re so proud of the work we’ve done and grateful to everyone who has enjoyed and supported FilmStruck.

Good to see another excellent HVE title being released. Now if we can only have Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Cure, I'd be a happy camper.

At least I no longer have to lament its absence of availability in Canada.

They should try and get some kind of deal with Netflix. Netflix used to have a "classic film" option but they removed it last year, probably because they only had a few films on it.

This! Everyone has it. It will expose people to some consistently good movies, too, of course.

I agree, for the U.S. However, it would likely just be another way in which Canadians wouldn't have access to the content.

We have a subscription channel, here (Hollywood Suite), which does make some Criterion films available via streaming and broadcast. However, it is not very extensive.

In all likelihood, that would negate any possibility of having them on Netflix, here.

Damn. Honestly, I'd rather it be Hair. I didn't know that the Denis film even existed.

LET THE SUNSHINE IN is a very good movie. Check it out when you have a chance, a sort of romantic comedy about being alone.

And, Juliette Binoche is never a bad thing...
